I think I'm just going to turn this game off now. The game is over yet but with the way it's going, I don't want to watch. Hopefully Rich and the Cubs turn it around.

Why do you even post here? To piss off everyone that reads? I told you before. don't mind my posts....i just post out of frustration Then take your frustration on a pillow and stop posting. There's a line between typical game thread panic and the junk you post every single day. I know I'm not the only one extremely annoyed by it. i don't mean to sound like an ass or anything, but what position do you have in telling someone to stop posting? he has his right, pointless post or not. if you don't want to read it, don't. Because it's continuing trollish behavior. Like Truffle said earlier in the thread, synergy hasn't posted a useful thing on this site ever. EDIT: Saw Cuse's 'stop' post after I posted this.

Ha! Not a chance because there are runners on base. Len and Bob said yesterday's 2-run homer was the Cubs first with runner(s) on base in two weeks.

I also thought it was interesting that Buchholz was drafted as a sandwich pick the Red Sox received when Pedro Martinez went to the Mets.

No-hitters happen every year. No-hitters by rookies even happen occasionally. Yes ranked teams lose early every year also but to 1-A teams. This is the first time in the history of the 1-A/1-AA split that a 1-AA team has beaten a ranked 1-A team. At the very least it was one of the top-5 upsets in college football and was probably the biggest upset in the history of college football.

They called a pretty blatant one in one of the Mets-Phillies games the other day. The Mets player interfered and it ended the ball game. But yeah, I agree. Some of these are getting ridiculous.

I know four AB's is a small sample size and I'm not taking anything from it but why am I not surprised that Carlos Lee has a 2.417 OPS against a Cub pitcher?

Geez, he might break his own record from last year. 34-41, 411, 6 TD's... ...in the first half. I know it's an all pass offense and I know it's Northern Colorado but still, this is just amazing.

There's no way in hell they make the title game with this loss on their resume, though. Obviously if they win out they'll make a BCS game but pretty much any one-loss team from a BCS conference is going to look like a more worthy team than Michigan will be. And considering 2/3 of the BCS is based on the voters, Michigan's title hopes appear to be dashed.

Haha. What a horrible, horrible day for the Big Ten. The Big Ten is not a very good conference this year. Wisconsin should be embarrassed if they don't win the conference title. THIS IS WHAT I HAVE BEEN SAYING FOR MONTHS!!!! badgers do have to play at ohio state and penn st. I thought Michigan would challenge Wisconsin for the Big Ten title but they clearly shouldn't now.
