I like VAR and replay in general but I hate when stuff like this gets overturned. It took way too long to review and I don’t know how they can figure out exactly when the ball was kicked and exactly if the guy was offsides or not when it’s this close. It’s not a “did the ball go across the line” situation where the line doesn’t move and it’s easy to tell if the ball went across. In this case, you’ve got when the ball was kicked, the defenders body and the attacker’s body. It’s like the safe/out in baseball or who the ball went off of in basketball. When you have to slow it down so much and take more than like 60 seconds to review it, just leave the call as is and move on. Leicester had a goal ruled out for offsides earlier. It was clear and took 30-45 seconds to review. That’s perfect.

Iirc, Correa was our target and they thought they had him and the Astros sniped him from us because they caught him at a workout day or game they weren’t even there to watch him or something right before the draft. I had been under the impression that the main reason they picked Correa was they could sign him for cheap and spend more money elsewhere and the fact that he was good was essentially a bonus. The cost was definitely a part of it. They got Correa for under slot and it allowed them to get Lance McCullers. -

I was just following Sofa’s request. I also posted in the game thread I’d get one up if the guy scheduled didn’t do it. I just wanted to give him time in case he wanted to last min. I’m not handing out blame, just pointing out facts.

Just wait until we win the first two games of this series. Or sweep the Cardinals in the final series (when we start it 5 games back) Ultimate fake rally would be splitting this series, picking up a game in the Pittsburgh series and going into St Louis 2 back. Win the first two and hold a lead in the third game only for the pen to give it up.
