    Hawks are not going to spend much before Bedard's ELC is up. This, imo, is more about making sure the Hawks get to the floor (for next season) than anything else.

    Either the Cubs get Cody back on terms closer to their comfort level or another team will have a noose of a contract. I'm fine with either scenario.

    When I was playing ball years ago, I always wore 23 and played 2B as my main position. So yeah this news sucks. They say never meet your heroes, but I met Ryno when he was managing the Smokies. He was the nicest guy I have ever met. Beat this, Ryno.

    Or you could look at it as the Cubs gave up 2 questionable young kids who might help in a few years for a couple of questionable big leaguers who might help in 2024.

    Do the Bears sign or draft a Center? For me, getting a C is probably #2 on the priority list behind QB.

    I agree. Disappointment is definitely the right word. Bears/Packers is a one sided game of ramshambeau. What really annoys is that Eberflus would be the perfect DC for the Bears moving forward but now, there a chance we have to watch him go elsewhere and be that DC.

    You cannot be angry about something you expect. Not angry about losing to a Packers team, I no longer consider a rival. Clean house is needed and McCaskey needs to stay out of that decision.

    That's the thing, I like Harrison, Nabors and Odunze and would be perfectly happy with any one of them.

    Maybe but if the Bears are taking a lower first rd QB that means they also has somebody like Harrison, Jr, etc. That is better than having Williams, alone.

    Because I'm not sure they are ready to move on from Fields.

    From Fowler/Cronin of ESPN: If Poles anything near what this is suggesting, then you know Poles will be trading the pick. With a few teams desperate for a QB, I don't see a scenario in which the Bears keep the pick.
