    At least Hoskins can be the Cubs if they want, I want to believe Jed and company is talking to the Guardians about any combination of Naylor/Bieber/Clase and are currently running through names. It does bother me that the Chicago Cubs are afraid to act like a big market team. Your biggest off-season acquistion cannot be the manager.

    Well, you're going to need new owners for that to happen.

    Same here. The Cubs have shown very little gumption--especially under Jed--- at acquiriiring velocity, so why start now with Glasnow. Better hope Ben Brown and Cade Horton can be those guys at some point in 2024.

    I can say the same thing about Williams/Maye. Sucks that the Bears will have the #1 pick and only Williams/Maye to pick from. Blah. Oh and....Bears have now won TWO GAMES IN A ROW. First time under Flux (not counting preseason).

    And that is all you would have: Ohtani and a bunch of cheap, mediocre talent. Not wanting to pay one player, no matter how good he is, all of your money is not a "Defeatist" attitude but a pragmatic one. Afterall Ohtani is still just one player on a 25/26 man roster.

    Good on Ohtani and LOL at the Dodgers. I never knew the Dodgers of all teams, had to overpay for any FA. Yet, here we are. But in no way did I want Ohtani at this deal.

    I want Dodgers to miss out on Ohtani so that they can turn their attention to Yamamoto. Then sit back watch the out all war for Yamamoto between DODGERS/METS/YANKEES/giants.

    As long as it's not the Dodgers, I'm cool with it. But if it Toronto, that is one hell of a counter to the NYY getting Soto.
