  1. Idk if it's the Dodgers brilliance or the WS incompetence or both.
  2. But those teams, imo, were nowhere near as talented as this Bears team. Bears going winless means ALOT of things went wrong. Bears have had some terrible luck but it can not be the bad......rIght? I'm chosing to be cautiously optimistic.
  3. Only way I'd move Bagent before the season is if the Bears are offered a third. Bagent is worth more to the Bears in 2024 than a 4th round pick.
  4. I would do it in the offseason. I rather have Bagent as backup over Rypien.
  5. Rumor was the Cubs offered a 1 year extension at 5 mill and the Cubs would tear up the option. Neris balked at the idea.
  6. That's because one organization employs creative minds the other has Jed Hoyer.
  7. I think most Cubs fans agree with this but have zero faith that Jed can pull off Juan Soto, especially if the Dodgers and Yankees are involved. Dodgers getting Soto the off-season after getting Ohtani would be so annoying.
  8. I'm not letting a minority of players stand in the way of making baseball better. I'm beyond tired talking about umpires bad calls.
  9. More times than not umpires are ruining my enjoyment of game. MLB has the technology to fix the umpire problem, they don't want to l9se the "human element" of the game. Screw the umpires.
  10. That "scout" should just tweet "I hate Caleb Williams" and save whomever reads it a lot of time from his rantings.
  11. Much ado about nothing. Hoyer will continue to dumpster dive and the Cubs will likely be in this same spot next season.
  12. I agree. If the Bears were a Judon (or even Riddick) away from a Super Bowl run, I'd go for it, but they are not.
  13. I was still holding out some hope for one of those runs. But I realize the Cubs are not that team to pull it off.
  14. The only thing the Cubs needed to against Cleveland was not get swept. So what do the Cubs do? They get swept. August 14, 2024, the Cubs season has ended, imo.
  15. Whatever Cubs. They can not stay out of their own way can they? When they miss the playoffs, AGAIN, and Jed's seat gets hot, that'll be something, I guess.
  16. USA gymnastics is now saying that there video evidence that proves that Chiles coach got the appeal in on time. What a clusterduck.
  17. That SS brain fart play that allowed Cody to score is one of those plays that I wish Hawk Harrelson was still calling Sox games. "What are you doing, Brooks Baldwin?!?!"
  18. What is it with the Cubs/White Sox games ending 7-6?
  19. And this is why playoff talk is crazy. These dummies don't know how to stack wins. Back to exhibition mode.
  20. Don't forget that one year ago, "Down goes Anderson."
  21. The series win against the Cardinals won't matter, if they fall flat against the Twins. So don't fall flat, Cubs.
