  1. If Barrett had the tools of Neifi Perez, Freddie Bynum, or Jose Macias, Baker would be helping him out all over the place. AJP would have killed any of those 3 with a relatiation punch.
  2. If the ball was cut off, Barrett would have stopped blocking home plate. I agree that AJP should have slid, but honestly, it's what AJP did after scoring that caused the fight (slapping home plate, taking a circutious route to his helmet via Barrett). And Barrett had every right to get pissed over what AJP did after steamrolling him.
  3. Marshall never touched Iowa. Yep, didnt he only make it to single A, there might actually come a point when too much teaching ruins a great talent Marshall was also at AA last season.
  4. I'm up for that. :D
  5. http://www.baseballamerica.com/online/prospects/features/261283.html
  6. Second 10 K-outing of the season for Veal!
  7. Who cares? The team doesn't have the heart to hit a batter.
  8. Ugh. He'd been pitching fantastic this season.
  9. Yeah, but that probably won't be a long-term thing since Raul Valdes was cut.
  10. I would. It's been a year at AA for Marmol (and his major concern is his walks) and Gallagher has shown he's ready for promotion with a half season of dominance in the FSL. If that happens, I'd send the remaining person in the rotation from Walrond/O'Malley to the pen (leaving Iowa with a rotation of Guzman/Ryu/Hill/Williams/Marmol).
  11. Iowa: LHP Ryan O'Malley (2-2, 3.51 ERA, 25.2 IP, 25/1)
  12. Probable Starters: Iowa: LHP Ryan O'Malley (2-2, 3.51 ERA, 25.2 IP, 25/1) @ RHP Matt Kinney (3-3, 4.57 ERA) West Tenn: RHP Juan Mateo (3-2, 2.23 ERA, 44.1 IP, 33/15) vs. RHP John Hudgins (1-0, 3.18 ERA) Daytona: RHP Sean Gallagher (3-0, 2.09 ERA, 47.1 IP, 50/10) vs. LHP Jeffrey Marquez (0-3, 5.30 ERA) Peoria: LHP Donnie Veal (3-2, 3.07 ERA, 41 IP, 49/29) vs. RHP Oswaldo Sosa (3-2, 3.00 ERA)
  13. Thanks, TT! Was the baserunner safe at second??
  14. I'm just hoping he's hitting leadoff to get more ABs. He doesn't have the patience or plate discipline to bat leadoff and once his power arrives, he'd be better off in the middle of the lineup anyways.
  15. I have a friend who has some insider access to scouts and coaches. Apparently Stock is the clear-cut favorite to be the #1 overall pick...assuming he doesn't make insane demands. Stock is freaking awesome. Kid was throwing 90 mph at age 15.
  16. I don't like the home plate ump's strike zone.
  17. Wow, that was an ugly bunt by Pierre. Murton!
  18. Me too. I'm off work in 2 hours. I hope he's still pitching. I only have another half hour. :(
  19. Me too. (Well, I'm excited when Marshall pitches too.)
