  1. Reid is already a fan favorite here in Central Alabama. Evan continues to be mess with because of his name. Evan has had trouble putting the ball in play since being call up to AA, but he has shown some outstanding power. Jeremy Owens is a decent OFer. Jeff Neiman (Newman!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) or whoever you spell his last name is prolly the best overall prospect on the team. No disrespect to Longoria and Brignac. No, in terms of overall prospect, Longoria should be rated higher (especially given Neimann's injury past).
  2. Round Rock up big on Nashville, 7-0 in the middle of the 3rd! Iowa up 3-0 in the bottom of the 4th. Restovich and Pie with HRs and Ryu with 3 scoreless innings so far.
  3. Me too. Windows Media Player comes up, but then, nothing.
  4. I only watched the first half, but the loss of Mixon looked devastating. UCLA up 7-0 in the early goings of the second quarter...the defense has looked good and Ben Olson is 10/11 so far (the incompletion was a dropped TD). Of course that was followed up by a missed FG by Justin Medlock.
  5. Both games of Daytona's doubleheader were rained out.
  6. they are being dominated. tough to win in knoxville. Longshore/Ayoob look awful, Knoxville or not.
  7. Screw you, Cal.
  8. I don't think that first drive could have gone any better! UCLA up 7-0! :D Ben Olson looked awesome. 4/4, 65 yards, first NCAA TD pass.
  9. :nervous:
  10. They were piling on abuck. It was pretty bad.
  11. Cal's secondray really is missing Mixon. That was embarassing by the backup freshman.
  12. What an INT! Longshore is struggling.
  13. Dear Nate Longshore, Please get rid of the ball earlier. Thanks, Pac-10 Fan Who Doesn't Want His Conference Embarassed ---------------------- Oregon up big on Stanford after 3: 34-10. Jonathan Stewart is having a great coming out game for the Ducks. And the second I pimp up Stewart, he sprains his ankle (doesn't sound too serious, though). ----------------------- 40 more minutes!
  14. So Holliman is starting game 1, Berg should start game 2 then.
  15. Thanks, Nate! I was hoping someone from Daytona who had been injured for a bit would go too (Petrick, Berg, Phelps), but I guess not. Is there a reason they changed Koerber from instructs?
  16. Listen to this man. :D
  17. Ron, did the Giants play Game 7 of the 2002 World Series extra bad because Bonds was on the team? Did Felix Rodriguez and Tim Rodriguez perform poorly in the late innings of Game 6 of the 2002 World Series because of Barry?
  18. Frank Thomas was a White Sock last season (an injured one, but a White Sock all the same). And it wasn't the first season he's missed due to injury - but it was the first time the White Sox had won a World Series with him hurt. It probably had a lot to do with their fantastic starting pitching. Stats like that are pointless. There are other stats that should be paid attention to because they have enough of a sample, can be used to predict things and are important to judge the player or team's play.
  19. Vance, you're in luck. While Jeff Niemann started yesterday, it looks like Andy Sonnanstine will start today for Montgomery. Some of the regulars might get the day off though, since Montgomery clinched their playoff spot yesterday.
  20. I just don't want to get involved in a thread that might never end.
  21. I'm trying to avoid this thread...but I have a question. Is the player supposed to move the runner over or is he trying to get a hit, and as he fails, he is still able to move the runner over?
  22. Man, it's weird to see a conference game in the first weekend. Oregon's going to kill Stanford. Go Cal! Go UCLA!
  23. Cain and Lincecum are going to be a great 1-2 punch in a few years. Let's see how Sabean/Felipe Alou can screw that up.
