  1. Looks like MiLB.com got wise and fixed their pitching lines - it's right now...Berg for 3 IP, Bronder for 2.2 IP, Phelps for the last 2.1 IP (and the loss).
  2. Sounds good. I've switched over to your game. :)
  3. Thanks, Nathan. With a 6-pitch and a 9-pitch inning, how long do you think he can go? 7?
  4. Daytona loses 5-4. Berg didn't go the distance like MiLB.com says. Sean Marshall can't get out of the 6th inning, giving up 2 more runs on a walk, RBI triple and an RBI single (all with 2 outs). Jerome Williams comes in and gets the final out of the inning. Sean Marshall's final line: 5.2 IP, 6 ER, 4 H, 4 BB, 6 K, 3 WP, 91 pitches (57 strikes). Iowa is down 6-1 in the top of the 7th inning. West Tenn up 4-3 after 4. Pavlik: 4 IP, 3 ER, 8 H, 1 BB, 5 K. Peoria up 7-1 in the bottom of the 5th. Atkins: 4 IP, 1 ER, 2 H, 1 BB, 6 K.
  5. Felix Pie gets an RBI IF single in the top of the 5th and Iowa is now down 4-1 after 5. Marshall: 5 IP, 2 H, 4 ER, 3 BB, 5 K, 1 HR, 3 WP. Bynum: 0 for 3, 2 Ks Pie: 1 for 3, single, K, RBI Mobile answers West Tenn with 2 in the top of the 3rd to tie the game at 2. Brandon Sing hits a 2-run HR in teh bottom of the 3rd and the Jaxx lead it 4-2 after 3. Daytona gives up 2 in the bottom of the 7th and are now losing 5-4 as we go to the bottom of the 8th. Peoria scores 5 in the top of the 3rd, thanks in part to a Malone 2-RBI triple and a Garcia 2-run HR. They lead it 5-1 after 4.
  6. Sean ends up giving 2 runs in the inning before getting out of it with 2 strikeouts. His line as of now is: 4 IP, 2 H, 4 ER, 3 BB, 5 K, HR, 3 WP, 61 pitches (37 strikes). Felix Foot is 0 for 2 with a strikeout.
  7. Ryan Harvey with an RBI double! One run scored but Matt Craig was out at home to end the inning (on a bang-bang play). At the 7th inning stretch, Daytona leads Sarasota 4-3. Harvey: 2/3, single, double, BB, R, RBI
  8. Daytona and Sarasota are tied at 3 in the top of the 7th, the rain has stayed away so far. Berg: 3+ IP, 1 H, 2 R, 0 ER, 3 BB, 1 HBP, 1 K Bronder: 3 IP, 1 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 2 K MiLB.com is wrong; they're saying Berg has gone the distance so far. West Tenn uses a Miguel Negron 2-RBI triple to jump ahead of Mobile 2-0 after 2. Peoria is still down 1-0 after 2. Atkins: 2 IP, 1 ER, 1 H, 1 BB, 3 Ks
  9. Who's pumped up for some football? http://fightmusic.com/index.html
  10. MiLB.com is wrong, it says Berg completed the 4th inning.
  11. Sarasota ties it up with an unearned run against Bronder. Berg was pulled after walking the leadoff man in the top of the 4th (doesn't sound like an injury), and his final line: 3+ IP, 1 H, 2 R, 0 ER, 3 BB, 1 HBP, 1 K. We're tied at 3 as we start the top of the 5th. It's sprinkling, but so far, the rain has held back.
  12. Berg gives up 2 unearned runs in the bottom of the 3rd, thanks in part to a throwing error by Jonathan Mota on what could have been an inning-ending GIDP. Daytona leads it 3-2 in the middle of the 4th. Berg: 3 IP, 1 H, 2 R, 0 ER, 2 BB, 1 HBP, 1 K
  13. Daytona now leads 3-0 in the bottom of the third. The D-Cubs' chased Sarasota's starter in the top of the third by loading the bases with no outs, but they only managed one run in the inning. Justin Berg: 2.0 IP, 0 ER, 0 H, 1 BB, 1 HBP, 1 K Ryan Harvey: 1 for 1, single, BB!
  14. Actually, it's Calexico, down below the Salton Sea.... but I'm pretty sure I'll be over in Metro LA to reload Monday afternoon. Heh, I used to live in El Centro for a year or so. Enjoy the 115+ degree heat. :) Yeah.... I've seen more than my fair share of extreme heat the last 3 weeks. What're ya gonna do ?? edit: come to think of it.... you ever been to Minot, ND in January ?? No, but with my affinity for really cold weather, I'm guessing I wish I had.
  15. Ryan Harvey leads off the 2nd with a single and ends up scoring on a single by Jake Muyco. Also in the 2nd, Joe Simokaitis scores on a Nate Spears FC. In the middle of the 2nd, Daytona leads it 2-0.

  17. I'm going to the Angels-Mariners game on Saturday night in Anaheim. I hope there will be another brawl there, that way the Angels can fight with all the AL West teams. :)
  18. That was a weird play...stupid stadium sucks. I hate MMP. I also hate the blue unis...they should be banned.
  19. When I first saw BA, I thought it was Jeremy Sowers (just because it was a lefty in an Indians uni).
  20. Yeah, in 2001. It was Paul Quantrill and Izturis for two young pitchers Luke Prokopec and Chad Ricketts (Ricketts was actually drafted by the Cubs).
  21. Funny you should ask..... I'm sitting at a loading dock right now in Alsip, IL waiting to get loaded for beautiful Waxahachie, TX !! Believe it or not, I've been to Waxahatchie. So, what route are you taking there? Are you coming through Little Rock through Texarkana or going through Oklahoma? Well.... I would have gone through Memphis / Little Rock / Texarkana, but the damned load got canceled. Now, I'm sitting back at the house calling other brokers on the phone to see if I can strike a a better deal. Failing that, I'll be going into the city in the morning to pick up a load for Los Angeles for Monday. Where in LA?
  22. BA Writeup on the East Coast Prospect Showcase BA's Top 20 Prospects at the East Coast Showcase (premium content): Matt Harvey is ranked #1 and Michael Main #2.
  23. Not just that, but a lot of these kids who had learned how to throw a curveball were often taught incorrectly or improperly by parents, coaches, etc. which makes it even worse. I think 18 is a bit too old to teach a curveball but 12-14 is far too young. Now if you outlawed curveballs in HS baseball, I'd actually been good enough in HS to play in college. :P
  24. Yeah, I blame T2E, raw, UK and mlpeel.
