  1. I'm pretty sure he's hurt. He had 1 AB in Iowa's last 3 weeks.
  2. Good for Felix. Now turn that anger into improving your plate discipline. I have no problem with Pie not being called up - I do have a problem with the reason of needing to play Pierre.
  3. MWL First Round: Game 1: Wed., Sept. 6, Peoria @ Beloit, 6:30 pm CDT Game 2: Thurs., Sept. 7, Peoria vs. Beloit, 6:30 pm CDT Game 3 (if needed): Fri., Sept. 8, Peoria vs. Beloit, 6:30 pm CDT Probable Starters: MWL First Round - Game 1: RHP Mitch Atkins (13-4, 2.41 ERA) @ RHP Yohan Pino (14-2, 1.91 ERA) Boise: RHP Jose Pina (2-5, 4.60 ERA) @ RHP Andrew Graham (3-1, 2.61 ERA) Atkins: 138.1 IP, 127 K/53 BB Pina: 58.2 IP, 24/21
  4. Yeah, apparently Villalona was already taken and I missed it, so I went with Monterro. I'm hoping Suarez or the ND WR/P (dont wanna even try spelling his name w/o looking it up) are available next time my pick comes around. I think Suarez (at age 16) is a safer pick than Samardzija.
  5. Renshaw's final line: 5 IP, 3 ER, 3 H, 1 BB, 1 HBP, 6 K. Boise down 3-1 now in the 7th inning stretch.
  6. Boise down 3-1 in the top of the 5th. Renshaw got out of the two-in-scoring-position, 1-out jam in the bottom of the third inning. Renshaw: 4 IP, 3 ER, 4 H, 1 HBP, 1 BB, 5 K, 3 WP.
  7. Alright. So if you were doing a fantasy prospect draft, would you take Montero or someone else over Sinkbeil, Huff, and Marrero? Would Montero or Villalona be available next year? EDIT: I'd rather have Lincecum or Kershaw (from your first post). EDIT #2: From reading scouting reports (which are even more imprecise when it comes to 16-year olds, I like Villalona more).
  8. Si. And Tri-City is threatening against Renshaw again - runners at second and third with one out.
  9. Hrm, today is Tyler Colvin's 21st birthday.
  10. Hawks trail 3-0 in the top of the third.
  11. Gophers are going to pull the upset. Not at Berkeley. GO BRUINS!
  12. Hrm, the story on BoiseHawks.com and the story in the Idaho Statesman make it sound not that big a deal that Ceda didn't last that long - all reminiscent of that time when Guzman went 1 inning only because he was being saved for the big league team.
  13. Boise: RHP Jake Renshaw (1-2, 3.93 ERA; overall: 1-3, 4.81 ERA) @ RHP Andrew Kriedmarcher (5-5, 3.74 ERA) Renshaw (Mesa & Boise): 39.1 IP, 31 K/11 BB
  14. Bah, nothing in the BoiseHawks.com writeup: If I can't find anything else tomorrow, I'll drop their announcer an e-mail.
  15. I'm just nervous of pitchers with injury problems. His ceiling is certainly higher than that of Longoria.
  16. I guess, if he was going to go in Game 2. I forgot to listen to the postgame show, so I guess we'll have to wait till tomorrow for word. Boise won 8-2.
  17. And the Cubs will lose by 100.
  18. Scott Moore (along with Roberto Novoa and Bo Flowers [no longer in the minors]) came in excange for Kyle Farnsworth. Here are his AA and AAA numbers this season. Here are his career numbers. Moore was the 8th overall pick in 2002 out of an Orange County, CA high school.
  19. Ceda: 2 IP, 0 R, 1 H, 1 HBP, 1 K, 2 WP. Got disconnected, not sure if Ceda left the game with injury but Mike Billek came in in the third. Boise now up 6-2 in the 7th.
  20. Ceda: 1 IP, 0 R, 1 H, 1 HBP Boise up 1-0 in the middle of the second. Colvin has the night off.
  21. Muskat in one of her mailbags. http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/news/article.jsp?ymd=20060814&content_id=1609547&vkey=news_chc&fext=.jsp&c_id=chc uhh, that's like the opposite of what i thought and have read that ceda is. He throws in the mid-90s.
