    Yeah, apparently Villalona was already taken and I missed it, so I went with Monterro. I'm hoping Suarez or the ND WR/P (dont wanna even try spelling his name w/o looking it up) are available next time my pick comes around. I think Suarez (at age 16) is a safer pick than Samardzija.

    Boise down 3-1 in the top of the 5th. Renshaw got out of the two-in-scoring-position, 1-out jam in the bottom of the third inning. Renshaw: 4 IP, 3 ER, 4 H, 1 HBP, 1 BB, 5 K, 3 WP.

    Alright. So if you were doing a fantasy prospect draft, would you take Montero or someone else over Sinkbeil, Huff, and Marrero? Would Montero or Villalona be available next year? EDIT: I'd rather have Lincecum or Kershaw (from your first post). EDIT #2: From reading scouting reports (which are even more imprecise when it comes to 16-year olds, I like Villalona more).

    Hrm, the story on BoiseHawks.com and the story in the Idaho Statesman make it sound not that big a deal that Ceda didn't last that long - all reminiscent of that time when Guzman went 1 inning only because he was being saved for the big league team.

    I'm just nervous of pitchers with injury problems. His ceiling is certainly higher than that of Longoria.

    Scott Moore (along with Roberto Novoa and Bo Flowers [no longer in the minors]) came in excange for Kyle Farnsworth. Here are his AA and AAA numbers this season. Here are his career numbers. Moore was the 8th overall pick in 2002 out of an Orange County, CA high school.
