  1. I was there during bowl season. It's a nice place, but overrated. Any of the casinos showing games are just as good - and don't require you to get $10 worth of food every hour you stay there (plus the whole free drinks if you're watching the game in the casino proper). You have to get $10 worth of food there, every hour? That is ridiculous. I may just go to the sports book area in the casino to watch it then. Anyone have any other suggestions on a good place to watch it there? Food and drinks. It's not cool. I saw the Holiday Bowl for an hour and bailed, I had more fun watching it from the big screen TVs on the casino floor. Side note: Bowl season is a tremendously fun time to go to Vegas.
  2. There's nothing wrong with it, except that we're effectively ending our top prospect's season because we want a free-agent-to-be to get as much playing time as possible. It's a ridiculous statement. Can we only play one rookie at a time? Can't Jacque take some days off? We all know Murton isn't going to play every day anyways, so you might as well replace the days Pagan plays with Pie. He's gonna play in the AFL isn't he? I as well see nothing wrong with this, especially because Murton gets more playing time. Pie isn't going to the AFL. He'll probably play for Licey in the DR Winter League.
  3. He has about 20 on the season.
  4. Nashville lost too, so Iowa finishes tied with Nashille. Damn tiebreaker. PCL American North Nashville 76-68 .528 - Iowa 76-68 .528 - A very valiant effort on the part of Iowa. Their starting rotation was completely gutted the last few weeks and they finished 1 game from the playoffs. Most of August and early September, they were without Guzman, Hill, Walrond, O'Malley, Aardsma, Wuertz and part of that stretch run, they were without Ryu, Marshall and Soto.
  5. And proper hydration. And voice-activated keyboards.
  6. A little story on Tyler Colvin in today's Idaho Statesman. Note the blurb at the end - the Hawks are going to change their logo in a couple of months and are expected to change their name too.
  7. Well, I didn't listen to yesterday's Boise game - mine was based on what I heard a few days ago. But Muldowney and Ceda would be on 4-days rest if they started games 2 and 3 respectively. Muldowney would be on 5-days rest and Ceda 3-days rest if they switched spots.
  8. That's good to hear. We'll certainly miss you, you're a hell of a broadcaster. With all the technical difficulties 101.5 FM had this year, I got to listen to quite a few different SL announcers...and let me say you were the best of the bunch.
  9. Today is his last broadcast. :( Listen!!
  10. Question #1-Rex Grossman. Question #2-Thomas Jones and Cedric Benson are the RB's. Question #3-I dunno. Who was the "offensive weapon everyone feared in 2005"? Peter King is such a hack. He continously lets his bias get in his way. The division is so strong that the Bears, at 9-7, wouldn't make the playoffs?
  11. I think sethuel was being facetious.
  12. 1:05 CDT. West Tenn up 1-0 after 1.

  14. John Lackey won't be available unless it's for a steep price.
  15. I don't know, TT. I doin't think he can handle 2B or SS in the big leagues.
  16. This was against the DJaxx on the night Sean Gallagher won his NSBB POY award. :)
  17. Yes, his is twice as strong as the average human's and the size of a Buick. You didn't even factor in how good fist-pumping is for your heart, either. Z is good then. :)
  18. If Barrett was this guy, he'd at least have something in working order that was pain-free.

  21. Oh yeah, thank you to Ron and Nathan. And thank you for Outshined for doing these threads (except when you wuss out because of school :P).
  22. College players use this as well. Some major league players as well. You can call him on Thursdays for pitching advice. But he's not there to correct other flaws that come about. I'd rather trust someone who's viewing everything I do.
  23. Would you chalk up that inning as successful if you were down 2 and it was in the 9th inning? Play to your situation.
