  1. Payton's done a great job, but if the Titans make the playoffs Fisher's got to win. The Titans have some of the least talent overall of anybody and Fisher (with some luck of course) would have turned them into a playoff team. If the Titans don't make the playoffs, then Payton probably should win it. I disagree. Before the season, no one thought the Saints had any talent either. Even at 3-0, people were doubting the Saints. While Fisher has done a nice job bringing a mid-season resugence to the Titans, Payton started his outstanding job in training camp and has his team which had a worse 2005 record than the Titans not only in the playoffs, but has secured them a first round bye. Payton has been the coach of the year, and it's not even close. The Saints have more talent than the Titans though - even at the beginning of the season, I don't think too many people would think otherwise. Sure, expectations were low for both teams, but with the Saints, expectations were low because of previous lack of success and questions over Brees' health. I figured the Saints would be much better than the Titans, so their being in the playoff hunt is as impressive to me as the Saints having the second best record in the NFC.
  2. More than 20 Mizzou Tigers were held out of practice due to the flu bug.

  7. Hey guys, not only is there a QB controversy, there's also a RB and WR controversy...also based on the fourth quarter. Moose and Berrian are now being challenged by Mark Bradley and TJ and Benson have been leapfrogged by AP.
  8. Got nothing to complain about with the time change since it means I'll actually get to watch the game and it will be over around 8 pm here. Hah, take that, suckers in different time zones!
  9. Pac-10 looking good - WSU is getting close to the top 25! UCLA: #1 Arizona: #7 Washington: #13 Oregon: #20 Washington State: #29

  11. Chad Mortensen trying to keep the QB controversy alive on Monday Night Countdown...ESPN can go suck it. I'm sure the Bears are considering playing Griese in the playoffs by getting him reps without TJ, Benson, Berrian or Moose.
  12. Wow, check out Michael Irvin's suit on ESPN right now.
  13. Aww, sad Carrie Underwood.
  14. There's a Pro Bowl QB if I ever saw one...
  15. But...but...Carrie Underwood!
  16. Geez, what do you have against FGs and play action passes, Bill Parcells?
  17. Turnover fest in Dallas. Anyone could have picked that pass off, Garcia.
  18. The Bears will beat the Chargers next season. Why? Because I'll be there. :)
  19. Could bare the fact that you were a Sox fan, but a Packers fan too? That's 2 strikes....I'll be watching closely for the third ;) I hear he's a Knicks fan ;) He also likes the Illini. What an evil trio.
  20. The game is on NBC now. GO BEARS! Send Favre out in style: http://www.thepackattack.com/files/images/brett-favre-crushed-sack-bears.jpg http://graphics.jsonline.com/graphics/packer/img/rev/dec05/1pack1204.jpg
  21. Rasmus and Reyes? No way. Maybe, maybe not, but do you see Beuhrle staying with the White Sox past 2007? No, and that's why I don't think the Cards would part with that much for a free agent at the end of next season (one who, as RationalSoxFan pointed out, is likely headed to St Louis as a free agent). Well maybe, the Cards won't add Rasmus, BUT I doubt it will take only Reyes. I do think Buehlre will be dealt, the question is...would a team like NY be willing to give up Heilman and Milledge for Buehlre (seeing as that was the going package for a similar pitcher in Zito) that also includes a deal similar to what Zito gets? What I am saying is...I don't see Buehrle going to St. Louis JUST YET. I think the Mets will swooped in and offer said package of Heilman/Milledge for Buehrle and then extend him at a deal OF SAY 5 YRS AT OVER $11 MILL per. So, again, while Buehrle "heart" maybe in St. Lou, but I think his agent/MLBPA would pushed him into taking a "higher deal" then what the Cards will offer. Huh? Beuhrle is a FA after next year, if the cards offered Reyes for Beuhrle straight up that would be an amazing deal for the sox. One that is much much better than the deal this thread is based upon. Exactly. I don't see the Mets offering Heilman/Milledge even if their opinion of Milledge is lowered for a pitcher they will then have to extend.
  22. There's only one right answer. http://www.thepackattack.com/files/images/brett-favre-crushed-sack-bears.jpg http://graphics.jsonline.com/graphics/packer/img/rev/dec05/1pack1204.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v177/Navinda/brett-favre-sacked-bears.jpg http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y139/Wolf451/daBEARS.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v219/bobwaters/bears00-3.jpg http://www.chicagobears.com/uploads/photos/perm/main/GDFNEELLLBBI/Urlacher_Favre.jpg http://www.chicagotribune.com/media/photo/2006-09/25316661.jpg
  23. I believe South Carolina had a really good recruting class in 06. Ranked #1 by Collegiate Baseball. Justin Smoak was also selected as a second team Preseason All-American. Second team? What? That's BS. Bah, UCLA just missing the top 25.
  24. And now Colt breaks the record.
