    By draft day, the Bears should know if Briggs is gone or back (though if he's franchised, you might still need an LB to replace Briggs after a year). I wouldn't pick a LB in the first round to replace HH just because HH isn't on the field as much as the other two LBs and the first rounder could be better off looking at S or OL. Don't get me wrong, I really like Posluszny and think he'd be a great fit on the offense, I just think there are bigger needs than LB if Briggs is back (same thing in regards to TE).

    UCLA eeks out a 67-61 win over ASU (who thankfully still has no conference victories). At one point, UCLA was down 49-39. :|

    And Arizona State goes on a 7-0 run to start the second half. UCLA now losing 38-36. Pathetic.

    UCLA up 34-31 at the half. Only four Bruins have scored: Afflalo with 15, Mata with 10, Collison with 7 and Roll with 2.

    UCLA tied 23-23 with ASU with 5:21 in the game. Arron Afflalo has 13 points and Lorenzo Mata has 10 points. No one else has scored for UCLA.

    Mata and Collison both starting in Tempe, neither are at 100%.

    If I had to pick a high schooler, I think i'd take Burgess. Strong character from what i've read, and has some excellent raw power to work with. Of course I don't want a high schooler, but i'm just saying if I had to... But then again, you have to wonder about taking an outfield guy with Soriano locked in for eternity, Pie pencilled in for the future, and hopefully Murton as well. So after considering that, maybe it is better to just pick a pitcher from the high school crop (if you had to). Meh, just take the BPA. If it's an OF, it's an OF. Who knows what the situation will be like in 2-4 years? If he's blocked at the major league level, you have a fantastic trading chip.

    Wasn't Iona in the NCAA tourney 2 or 3 years ago? Try last year. They lost to LSU in the first round. That's an amazing drop - from tournament team to worst record in DI. And they started out like 0-21 or something ridiculous like that. P.S. Bulls will get Oden with the Knicks pick. :)

    UCLA vs. ASU today at Tempe. Both Collison and Mata are game-time decisions but everyone seems to think at least Darren will start.

    I think it will be one of the big 3 college kids if they remain at the top of the pack. I'd guess LHP David Price (Vanderbilt), C Matt Wieters (Georgia Tech), RHP Andrew Brackman (North Carolina State), RHP Matt Harvey (HS), LHP Joe Savery (Rice).

    Yeah, U-Dub is brutal on the road. I can't see them doing better than 2-3 the rest of the way. Ugh, I wanted seven Pac-10 schools in the tournament.

    And U-Dub loses another very winnable game. At Pitt is a must-win for them now, imo (what do you say, SSR?).
