    Ya know..... last year, the CUBS were 12-3 when they scored at least 3 runs in the first inning...... 54-93 when they didn't. :wink: Man, I'm really getting excited about baseball !! A Fred stat!

    Cuban supposedly brought a lot of people to the mix to look at various numbers and stats when he became the Mavericks owner. This is honestly the only guy I'd be interested in seeing become a new owner.

    All is quiet on the Eastern front...thus far. He will get in eventually, although he should have been in long ago. Has the injury bug hit camp yet??? Sean Marshall is about a week behind because of shoulder problems from the end of last season and the offseason. Kerry Wood is a few days behind because of his rib injury from falling out of a hot tub. The games start on Thursday (37 hours to go). Here are the scheduled starters: Thursday: Jason Marquis vs. the Giants Friday: Carlos Zambrano vs. the Angels Saturday: Wade Miller vs. the A's Sunday: Rich Hill vs. the White Sox Monday: Mark Prior vs. the Mariners

    You mean taking a 27-foot 3-pointer with 20 seconds left on the shot clock isn't a good idea? They seem to either chuck up a shot right away or play passively and pass it around the perimeter until there are 5 seconds left on the shot clock (this is known as the UCLA game plan against a zone defense :roll:).

    I keep looking at all the mock drafts hoping he somehow falls. But I don't think it's in the cards. :( Reggie Nelson didn't run particularly fast so it's possible he could drop to the Bears. I don't think so, sadly. Also, I think Landry is a better fit for the Bears (and, of course, a better player).

    I didn't see this and hope I can avoid seeing it for the duration of my life. I'd definitely recommend that. That wasn't pretty, I wish the local news would have warned us that was coming when they were showing higlights. :|
