  1. I think he managed the bullpen beautifully in 2015 especially mixing in guys like Cahill and Richard and giving them useful roles. Not a ton of problem in 2016 except Chapman's WS usage. This year has been a little more head scratching but at the same time a lot of his guys have been inconsistent like Uehara, Grimm, Rondon and now Edwards. i think Maddon rightly or wrongly believes Edwards has the highest ceiling and the wanted to give him a chance to work through his recent issues. I do think this was one time too far though, particularly putting him in the game with little rope to work with. Oh well I love how you barely touch on his horrific bullpen management in the World Series. That horsefeathers nearly cost them the Series.
  2. Clifton was having a good season until it all unraveled in early June. It's possible his stuff has regressed over the course of the season.
  3. Well at least Rondon isn't hurt: [tweet] [/tweet] Just being saved for a non-existing 9th inning save situation against not the meat of the lineup. Hopefully Strop and Rondon will finally get CEJ's high leverage innings and CEJ can get some low leverage innings to right the ship.
  4. who is the color guy? i couldn't hate him more The horrible Ron Darling.

  7. 6 earned runs and counting later, the second inning didn't go as well for Brendon.
  8. So it looks like Preston Morrison's days in the rotation are over. I think he might have a chance as a big league reliever if he can improve his groundball rate.
  9. Little's first: lineout, groundout, infield single to the first baseman, ground out.
  10. Atlanta traded Sean Rodriguez to Pittsburgh.
  11. Making an aggressive out at third with one out is exactly the kind of aggressiveness you should be good with. That was one helluva throw. yeah i really don't understand taking issue with it results oriented thinking Not a fan of doing that on Bryce Harper's arm.
  12. Willson needs to reign in his aggressive baserunning. Coulda cost the Cubs a run.
  13. Less than 2 hours to game time and no game thread? Can't believe Lackey vs Jaxon isn't exciting you people.
