    Hmmmmm. Youre a regular Baseball almanac. You might want to check out the NSBB Guidelines, there are no personal insults here. Well is comparing Milwaukee to Chicago really fair. Populations aren't even close. While Chicago's a nice city and all, but for the class its in size wise its at best third behind NYC and LA in terms of the always mentioned "things to do" or what it "has to offer". Chicago residents (or the posers in the burbs and the burbs of the burbs) beat up on Milwaukee just for that reason. So fine keep beating up on your little brother to the north if it makes you feel better. And oddly enough, Chicago''s the third biggest of those three.

    Marshall! :D AWESOME :cheers: anybody else dissapointed that they used Pie at leadoff though, plz don't make us compare him to corey more than we already do :( I'm hoping it was because he was the most capable amongst the starters on Team B. Felix' 4-pitch walk was encouraging, but then there was this AB to lead off the game:

    Thanks for all the work you've done with NSBB, Ron! Who do you think will begin the season in the Diamond Jaxx' starting rotation? Carlos Marmol, Sean Marshall and Randy Wells seem like solid bets. I've seen rumors of Sean Gallagher and a couple of guys rebounding from injuries, Chadd Blasko and Rocky Cherry.

    Solid recruiting class though. Hopefully the program is on the rebound. Damn straight. Go Sam!

    The move had to be done, he wouldn't have lasted at SS or 3B in the bigs. I don't think he'll be ready for the big leagues this year outside of a September callup, he has some sizable things to fix.

    Yes, Frankie had TJS. Justin only pitched in 77.2 IP last year (he missed the start of the season with elbow problems) but did finish strong. I've been a fan of his for a while, but he needs to put together a strong, healthy season. I don't see how one can consider the trade a bust given the Cubs netted Matt Murton.

    Why? Vitale blew that WAY out of proportion. It's far too dangerous for the players, coaches, refs and the fans themselves. I've heard some scary stories from UCLA football players and a former Cal football player. They stormed on the court with 1.7 seconds left in the game.

    Dan Haren will start for the A's and go 30 pitches or 2 innings. Milton Bradley, Mark Kotsay and Jason Kendall won't play. Z is scheduled to throw 35-40 pitches.

    Actually it was in 4.2 innings and the reason his pitch count got so high is that Dusty was trying to let him get through 5 so he would qualify for the win. Whether Dusty should have been that concerned about having Z qualify for the win is arguable but it gives a little more perspective than just saying he pitched 5.2 as part of an opening day blow-out. I think when Dusty finally pulled him in the 5th the D-Backs had actually made it interesting and the Cubs then pulled away again later in the game. The score was 9-3 CUBS when Zambrano was pulled in the 5th inning. I believe there were a few guys on base though. And, of course, Zambrano told the ump he needed some glasses.

    Florida State fans should be embarassed. I hope this ends the ridiculous practice of storming onto the court/field.

    Well, this is the same Newark Star-Ledger that said Mark Prior was going to have Tommy John surgery back in 2004.
