  1. Thats pretty much how I feel. It may be a necessary evil.
  2. ketchup shouldn't touch any weiner shaped meat: hot dog, polish sausage, italia sausage, bratwurst, etc
  3. ew what's ketchup doing on that?
  4. I was thinking more along the lines that all that was missing was a skull for him to be in a shakesperean play. Calling all photoshoppers?
  5. This just doesn't make tons of sense unless a 1 for 2 trade is coming and we need the 40man spot, or if we are high on a NRI, but looking at that list its mostly guys who they dont need to add, have chosen not to, removed previously, or don't have much of a chance, so who knows on this one, but it seems like it must be a precurser to something else.
  6. prospects that may never amount to nothing I'd rather have 2-3 guys who could be the low cost cornerstone to a team than one ace making near market value who blows his arm out in the near future. And who is going to give the Cubs that type of package for only one year of Zambrano? Someone confident enough that they could resign him. So someone with loadsof cash... Yankees, Boston, Mets
  7. Wait what are you trying to say about Willie Nelson, he can't get on base? But seriously what are you saying about Willie?
  8. I thought Dusty got another chance: he lost almost 100 games.
  9. The first quarter was exciting though!!
  10. Just a little preview http://indianolayouthfootball.com/images/2005teams/SuperBowl/colts-v.-bears-(45).jpg http://indianolayouthfootball.com/images/2005teams/SuperBowl/colts-v.-bears-(13).jpg
  11. I'm feeling a mighty ducks (D2) esque halftime change. "Rex Grossman Bloomington, IN" ... "Brian Urlacher Lovington, NM" ... "Robbie Gould Lock Haven, PA" ... etc .... quack quack quack quack
  12. After sobering up, I've been coming to several realizations: I woulda still been drinking at this point. I'm actually pretty proud of you.
  13. 19-16 final Haven't decided by whom. Can't wait.
  14. Well I'm convinced.
  15. Okay so I had a dream the other day and Gould hit a field goal to put the Bears up 19-16 with like 1:12 left (I think this was the score). When my roommates alarm clock woke me up I was wondering if the Bears defense held up last night. Dun Dun Dun
  16. I'm telling my sister. I want Robbie Gould to be my brother-in-law.
  17. Well, first of all, you might want to remove Jones and add Erstad (.241/.295/.321, but he's a gamer), depending on how much weight you give the recent rumors. The other thing is that PECOTA is pretty much state of the art when it comes to projection systems, so averaging them out wouldn't really give you better results. See this post for details. Then perhaps a weighted average. Theres about three main ones so: 50/25/25, as opposed to 33.3/33.3/33.3. Or even if you wanna say 70/15/15. Just think it would be interesting to see.
  18. That's it! 25 in A ball is pretty old isn't it? He did pretty well though. He way a 24 year old in A ball and should be a 25 year old in AA ball in 2007. Still old, but not as drastically so. If he puts up similar numbers in AA and there becomes an opening on the 40man he could be a guy you add for September call ups, and if not that, a late season call up to AAA.
  19. 2007 1 .349 .569 2 .335 .421 3 .369 .527 4 .362 .564 5 .365 .476 6 .357 .482 7 .343 .473 8 .329 .357 I'd take that, although I'd still prefer to replace Izturis regardless of that semi decent OBP. It'd be interesting to see an average of all the different projections and see what kind of lineup we might see.
  20. As much as I have wanted Fotenot to get a shot, two years now (I believe) he has been passed over as a Rule 5 selection. Jim Hendry isn't the only guy, 29 other teams don't see it. So despite his good minor league numbers, maybe he is just an organization guy.
  21. I, too agree with this statement, but you also have to take into account the finanical obligations of the wood .v. alum bats. HS are not going to look at the how much safer a wooden bat is, compare to an alum bat, they are going to see the $$$ they can save by going with alum bats. Alum bats hardly breaks, meaning a HS can go yrs without having to get new bats, but wooden bats can break at anytime of any game. So, as much as I like the idea of HSers using wooden bats, alot of HS/colleges just don't think it is finanically responsible. I would disagree---cause I've been hit in the face with a line drive off an alum bat---but that is what they think. So many players have their own bats anyways I think it could work.
  22. I'm surprised SteakGrowsOnDimitri and YoureGettingADelmon didn't make an appearance. For such a petty offense? They only make an appearence with real crime.
