    Okay so I had a dream the other day and Gould hit a field goal to put the Bears up 19-16 with like 1:12 left (I think this was the score). When my roommates alarm clock woke me up I was wondering if the Bears defense held up last night. Dun Dun Dun

    Well, first of all, you might want to remove Jones and add Erstad (.241/.295/.321, but he's a gamer), depending on how much weight you give the recent rumors. The other thing is that PECOTA is pretty much state of the art when it comes to projection systems, so averaging them out wouldn't really give you better results. See this post for details. Then perhaps a weighted average. Theres about three main ones so: 50/25/25, as opposed to 33.3/33.3/33.3. Or even if you wanna say 70/15/15. Just think it would be interesting to see.

    That's it! 25 in A ball is pretty old isn't it? He did pretty well though. He way a 24 year old in A ball and should be a 25 year old in AA ball in 2007. Still old, but not as drastically so. If he puts up similar numbers in AA and there becomes an opening on the 40man he could be a guy you add for September call ups, and if not that, a late season call up to AAA.

It'd be interesting to see an average of all the different projections and see what kind of lineup we might see.

    As much as I have wanted Fotenot to get a shot, two years now (I believe) he has been passed over as a Rule 5 selection. Jim Hendry isn't the only guy, 29 other teams don't see it. So despite his good minor league numbers, maybe he is just an organization guy.

    I, too agree with this statement, but you also have to take into account the finanical obligations of the wood .v. alum bats. HS are not going to look at the how much safer a wooden bat is, compare to an alum bat, they are going to see the $$$ they can save by going with alum bats. Alum bats hardly breaks, meaning a HS can go yrs without having to get new bats, but wooden bats can break at anytime of any game. So, as much as I like the idea of HSers using wooden bats, alot of HS/colleges just don't think it is finanically responsible. I would disagree---cause I've been hit in the face with a line drive off an alum bat---but that is what they think. So many players have their own bats anyways I think it could work.

    I'm surprised SteakGrowsOnDimitri and YoureGettingADelmon didn't make an appearance. For such a petty offense? They only make an appearence with real crime.

    Maybe a trick of supply and demand? A lot of people who want those item really bad might drive up the cost way more than its worth. I'm sure there are actually people who figure out exactly how many of different types of items are desired at an auction based on the expected demand. For whatever reason they probably figure the money raised from drving up the price of these few items will be greater than selling dozens that go for a lower price.

    thats the stupidest thing i ever heard in my life i want to die right now, what a hell of a game. Oh well, I say stupid things sometimes. It would be an incredibly gutsy move, but I could almost kinda sorta maybe once in a million years see it happening.

    I dunno everything else that Boise did in that game was crazy, and what better way to get Oklahoma overconfident then to let them score right away. It just looked so easy. I don't think it's likely, but what if...

    Man, what a game! I missed the whole sequence in which Oklahoma cam back. I fell asleep with Boise up 28-10 and woke up right after Oklahoma scored to go up 35-28. Then of course Boise State come marching right back. Go Me! Also, anyone get the feeling Boise let them score right away? Kind of saying, our offense is so hot, lets get them on the field right away.

    Uh oh, 17 didn't work out too well for Greenberg either. Then you have Murray and Mabry that just sucked. Good thing curses don't exist.

    OT, but why was Piccolo's number retired(ditto for Galimore)? I know the whole story, but is that the kind of thing that should get a guy's # retired. Also OT, but why hasn't Singletry's 50 been retired? I can't think of anyone who has actually worn it, so I suppose it is unofficially retired, but still. Also in oh 10-15 years inebackers in Chicago are really going to run out of numbers to wear, at least those in the 50's.

    I fell asleep early in the second and woke up with about 8min in OT and thought it was some kind of joke. Cliff Notes: what happened? 3 Fum by Hester? only one lost though. aarrrggh our defense almost blew us a game, and not Rex I presume? i little payback should i get my heart checked out?
