    I'm not sure it matters too much in regards to deciphering Rogers health, but did they go 54 man with emergency QB or 55 with 3 QBs fully active?

    Eagles put up 54 and I only get 25 points from Foles and Jackson. [expletive]. As long as 9ers D doesn't go nuts tonight I should still be within striking distance to close the gap this week. Also, screw the Chiefs D. And Reghie Bush.

    The joy of fantasy and fan values matching up is joyous. And I kind of like NO D. And Chi v Phi is begging for a shootout. Go for it.

    I don't know about that. I think it's mostly Theo's strategy and the owners are going along with it. I think it's a mixture really. No question I don't think we could have 140M payrolls right now. I do think Theo isn't going to go too far outside his value range on FA though, but is willing to put up big money offers, like Sanchez last year. I'm a little surprised they haven't shown more interest in guys like Choo and Ellsbury this year, but it may be that Tanaka is just the big splash they are waiting for and are wanting all their eggs in that basket. We've heard them say before budgets aren't necessarily year to year and I could definitely see them taking the long term view on this one.

    Also, while it certainly wouldn't surprise me if the Bulls FO is indeed interested keeping Deng for the long haul, now isn't a bad time for a leak to keep leverage if they are interested in trading him.

    Well apparently we are bad enough to tank even while holding onto our core. Cost and flexibility are now big parts of my motivation for a big sell off but if the owners are willing to roll with the roster and salary... And we're still able to tank, I guess there's some optimism there.

    Actually the most interesting part of that to me was that the article states Latin teams do package deals all the time. Gives some hope we can circumvent our restrictions in IFA next year, although I think you have to obviously tread lightly.

    My understanding is that it's all back room dealing before the posting. Tanaka, the two teams, the two proxy player, and the agents all agree under the table to the terms.

    Sounds like just a lot of gamesmanship to me.

    Is Rose doing that though? Presuming the Daily News article is correct, how is that Rose looking out for himself? Isn't it in his best interest to build this team for the future where he's actually playing basketball? Well he at least thinks he is. He is wrong, I agree with that but if he doesn't think so, well whatcha gonna do

    A little over the top but both sides should just be looking out for themselves.

    I do think this 4M with incentives and 5.5 option is a lot. Someone like Wright at a little over a million is a pretty low risk. I'm not totally put off by it, but hopefully there is still some money left for elsewhere, like Tanaka and other bat. The projected payroll is a shade less than 80M right now. Oh I'm not totally concerned about having the money available for Tanaka, but if the miss on Tanaka, wonder what else they'd go spend on, especially since that may drag late into the offseason.

    It would surprise me. Doubt that is a likely scenario. No I don't actually think so either, but it seems like they'll probably have a short bench and maybe have someone unexpected in mind as a starter?

    At this point, if they don't get Tanaka, we shouldn't be surprised if they just go with a 4 man rotation and piggy back right?

    Way OT, but when I thought of bad interviews and football players, my mind immediately jumped to that player against the Bears in the preseason with the cringe-worthy stuttering post-game interview. Anyways I was extremely happy to find out his name is Ellis Lankster and he has ended up having a pretty good career playing for the Jets and has been able to use that to really reach out and make a difference with kids with stuttering problems. I fully expected to just find a guy who's lasting legacy was one interview in a preseason NFL. Major props to Ellis.

    Eh, I was expecting worse by reading the comments beforehand. So he didn't engage about Lane Kiffin? And he seems genuinely unconcerned about stardom/fame? I'll take the boring interviews.

    Oh and trade Thibs too. If the lotto luck doesn't work (top 2 for me) I'm looking to pull more of a Celtics quick retool with much better assets than they had. If we're just playing for the lotto tank I still don't like the odds enough. Set ourselves up with several options.

    Yea I was anti-tank but presuming they currently aren't tanking and these are the results, my tune is changing. But we need to go at it hard, including looking to dump money cuz I'm still worried about Reinsdorf cheaping-out due to lack of playoff revenue. Can't plan on amnestyIng Boozer; needs to be a strict salary dump. And I think about trading Noah if I can get a relatively unprotected pick, like 3/1/0 and other stuff.

    If you've really had a headache since then, and it doesn't sound like it was a very vicious blow that caused you to lose it, I think that's something to really be cautious about. Not sure if a medical professional can really do anything other than monitor the symptoms but it may be worth checking if there's still a headache. At the very least, I hope your trying to stay inactive.

    I assume no shot at 2 seed with the other divisions having 10 win teams and our poor conference record...
