  1. Hopefully its not too early. Like maybe he has to trade up from 15 or something.
  2. Pretty fair analysis davell. I'd add TE too, just based on the strength of the draft. Another interesting tidbit. On Walter football's site they have a visit tracker, and I see three meetings (combine/East West/Senior bowl) with day 3 RBs who all have production/potential to be serious pass catch threats, possibly even WR/RB combos; I'Tavius Mathers, RB, Middle Tennessee (EW) Elijah McGuire, RB, La.-Lafayette (COM) Jamaal Williams, RB, Brigham Young (SR) Also, not sure if it was discussed re QB, but the lack of a combine meeting with Watson is noteworthy; not sure how much correlation visits has been for Pace. I remember it was pretty strong for Emery for instance Brad Kaaya, QB, Miami (COM) DeShone Kizer, QB, Notre Dame (COM) Pat Mahomes, QB, Texas Tech (COM) Nathan Peterman, QB, Pittsburgh (COM) Mitch Trubisky, QB, North Carolina (COM)
  3. For total clarity, it looks like it was a 4.55. Truely fast guys are going to run fast on any platform. Maybe it was a fast track, maybe just a good day, I dont know. He's probably athletic enough due to his length covering lost ground, but lets not make him something he isn't.
  4. 37 inch vertical, 4.5 40. Ridiculous length. I think he's tailor made for FS.....Maybe it doesn't translate, but I'm happy to see this getting a shot. Not sure where he ran a 4.5, but his combine time was 4.68. Taken with his length, his athletecism is effective, but hes not quite what I would call super athletic.
  5. Big guy, yes. Super athletic? Not particularly.
  6. This would make S pretty crowded and CB a bit less so.
  7. wait, dropping down 8 spots this year, from 3 to 11, only nets them a 3rd and a likely late 1st next year? That seems soft. Yea, thats probably a little light, though I wouldn't necessarily quite expect "full" vale based on the trade chart (950 point difference). Even on a more conservative/analytic trade board its light. Maybe #43 and #76 and we include #67 (with the 2018 first still). That at least gets you in range of the trade chart, and if you really think the drop from 3 to 11 isnt that large this year, that's fair.
  8. Or, since Cleveland likes the NBA trades lets get some 2018 pick swap option in this deal (no idea if legal)
  9. Hahahahaha We might have the first pick next year as it is Nah, Cleveland is still way worse still. They'll have the number 1 pick already having taken their QB (as presumed by the trade down scenario being discussed) and we'll have to jump someone like Jax at number 2 to get our guy (they will have realized Bortles isn't the future).
  10. If a trade down occurs I almost prefer an option with 2018 draft assets thrown in. Put yourself in a position to trade up for a QB next year.
  11. At this point you have to keep Houston. Even if they still bring back Acho at a small salary, they don't have the depth there. Maybe that changes after the draft. Last year, they left quite a bit unspent going into Training Camp and then were able to sweep in quickly and sign Sitton to a big deal after 53 man cuts. Could see something like that again, or you just roll forward cap. I just keep seeing Hankins and Logan sitting there, thinking we get involved. I think you can get one of them, keep Houston if you don't draft over him, and still have a solid amount of emergency money, for a Sitton type of move. Not only have we heard nothing about the Bears on those guys, but nothing even on those positions. I'm not holding my breath.

  14. You like Davis more than Mike Williams? I was thinking Mike Williams as a possibility at 3, not Davis so much.
  15. You didn't mention OLB, which as of now we need to keep Houston for depth, where most thought he would be cut. At the very least we need to be resigning Acho, but I would think its a position to watch. I'm thinking about Solomon Thomas at 3. I know a lot of people are thinking if him as a Justin Smith DE if he adds 10 pounds, but I think he could stay where he is now and move around as a UTIL type front 7 guy. No idea where to estimate our cap depth until we know Cooper's and Wheaton's deals. Keep in mind though, our draft pool is pretty large at 10M, and we're not going to spend right up to the cap limit. Royal is probably a goner at this point at $5M, but that probably just gets us the buffer space, all else being equal.
  16. I'd love to trade down a bit and get someone from a group of Solomon Thomas, one of the safeties or Lattimore. Seems like they're all a bit below the third pick in terms of value. Im leaning Thomas if not one of the QBs, though I may yet change my mind 20 times by draft day.
  17. Well it became a necessity when he struck out on most of his top targets. Can this hypothetical WR returm kicks? Would have preferred only one of Wright or Wheaton + Patterson I wonder if we're even out on Patterson? I know Wheaton can return kicks, but I'd kind of like to see Patterson still added......Granted, that doesn't leave room for a WR thru the draft. If that WR could replace Bellamy on ST, theres a spot for them. Also, Kyle is worried about bullying. Sounds like serious lockerroom issues
  18. deleted! Ah damn, well for anyone who missed it, Chris Boden tweeted something to the effect; Jay Cutler 8 years: 0 1 on 1 interviews. Mike Glennon 1 on the first day! (And hes much taller)

  20. Best two years were with Loggains. WR and CB are looking crowded (albeit underwhelming) and Wheaton and Leblanc look like the only KR and PR options (assuming Royal is released).
  21. Sad sad local reporter struggling to find meaning in post Cutler world https://twitter.com/CSNBoden/status/840705466049126400
  22. Yea, I mean, I dont think the show really cares about the places staying open. Its literally just for show.
  23. Don't know who this is, but I'm suspicious. Lemming retweeted it and called it the Glennon effect lol
  24. They just had a second meeting with Jonathan Allen. While I agree that CB seems out at 3, I don't think it means anything as far as taking a QB there either.....I think Allen(if they aren't scared by the arthritis) or Adams is much more likely than a QB myself.....Or a trade down, if remotely possible. And really like the Cooper move. Wonder if they're looking at Butler as a S? Patterson visited today too. Agreed, I dont think it implicity means a QB. I hope it doesn't implicitly mean no CB either if thats BPA (whether Rd1 or 2). After all were talking about a couple vets on a 1 and 2 year deal, a failed first rounder, and a couple UDFA who are interesting but ultimately just guys..
  25. And Marcus Cooper a Bear. Fairly busy day all in all, and there are A LOT of DB's right now. ETA- 3 year deal, so they probably figure him to be a pretty substantial part of the CB plans. I'm just waiting for the Kyle Fuller for a 2018 7th round pick trade...
