  1. I'm just really bullish on the improvement that Russell made from year one to two and think he will stay at the premium defensive position. Might not matter though with the way Bryant hits. I was just poking at the language/math of saying Russell would be the "best one of the three" when he was not one of the three to begin with. "Rizzo's Song" is going to be a real tear jerker.
  2. Peppers for Tampa, Ramczyck for Denver. Ramcyzck went to Ravens
  3. That Ross guy seemed pretty cool. What kind of monster could hate him? All of his teammates. Probably his third grade teacher too.
  4. Everyone just needs to let Bukie do his damn job. He doesnt call you at work and make suggestions on your work. Smh.
  5. Despite injury concerns and lackluster combine the racial slurs grab a potential feature back Dalvin Cook, RB, Florida St
  6. Ravens select a Ricky Wagner replacement and their second OT in the first round in as many years; Ryan Ramczyk, OT, Wisconsin
  7. Consider me solely on the hate side. Sorry not sorry.
  8. I've never bought a jersey, but an obnoxious gold trimmed WS trim might get me to make the jump.
  9. I didn't say Pace is trying to be Theo (football people almost across the board think everybody involved in baseball are pu$$!&$). I said maybe the McCaskeys think he's a Theo, and because of that they are willing to lose in the short-term and give him time. Pace doesn't want to lose 95 games and draft in the top 3. He wants to win games while he's building but what he most wants to do is take the BPA in as many drafts as possible, while letting older players go elsewhere. He lost a hell of a lot more than the baseball equivalent of 95. If he's trying to win, we're really in trouble. And I swear I'd be more comfortable with the Bears if they gave Pace's job to Theo and he GM'd football while taking his morning poop and walk home from his real job. I can excuse the first two years to a large extent. 2015 was a legitimate reset year from the turmoil of 2014, and they still managed to improve by a game. Last year sucked, but maybe was kinda fluky with injuries and just the wring side of close games (PFR put their estimate at 4.8-11.2). 2017 he doesn't get to claim improvement from a 3-13 team though. He has to make the entire case for those three years, and basically pick up from where they should have been. Hard to imagine a scenario where he has another draft like last year and they aren't a .500 team. I guess they have a tough schedule...? You could probably make a pretty simple grading scale for Pace solely based on record; 12 A 11 A- 10 B 9 B- 8 C 7 C- 6 D 5 F
  10. If we take the view that maybe Pace is purposefully being bad/taking time, I'm not sure how well he is carrying out that strategy in terms of long term development. Why was Jay around at all last year, for instance? Why wasn't he more active trying to capitalize Alshons value? If hes trying to be Theo, he isnt going full tilt on it. That would be the Browns.
  11. Jerry Angelo looks like a genius nowadays. :? Even against the comparison of 9-23, I'll hold off the genius talk. That said, he understood the importance of impact players and he actually closed on getting some.
  12. I mean, it doesn't guarantee that the Bears don't draft a QB in the first 2 rounds but it certainly seems less likely Wut?
  13. Yaaassssss Butt Fumble!
  14. I mean to be fair, that assault didn't actually break her leg.
  15. Could be a better third back than Carey, if they only keep 3.
  16. Butt fumble is visiting with the Bears.
  17. Wow that sucks, I just heard a great interview with him on a podcast (dammit the name is escaping me) where he went into detail about his Bulls years and set straight some misconceptions. RIP Was it the Woj vertical one? Someone on RealGM posted it http://forums.realgm.com/boards/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=1541836&p=53689708#p53689708
  18. Damn. RIP Krause. :(
  19. CJ Wilson re-signed. Bears also met with Ricky Jean Francois this weekend. So the DL depth has been adressed a bit.
  20. He seems like a bubble roster player already. But I guess its depth which we need.
  21. The Watson, non-meeting is interesting. On one hand it could be a smokescreen. Is the lack of a meeting a non-story now? I don't think it was ever a story, but yes, definitely a non-story now.
  22. I vote Thomas. Re- unclaimed teams, last year we just set up polls which we can do again.
  23. Well theres like 23M reasons to say this will not be his last game as a Bull, but lets see. Saw someone say on RealGM that his job is now recruiting, whether thats for the Bulls or his new team... and the latter is preferable at this point.
  24. Yea I remember how going into the plays Javy was definitely going to be 3B for certain pitching matchups, like Lester, according to fan consensus.
  25. Today I learned Vince Carter is still playing in the NBA. And hes not just some end of the bench mascot. Putting up 8ppg and 12 PER in 23mpg. He's 40 years old. What in the hell.
