  1. Weird. I can't remember if cash considerations were capped trade by trade or within a year. I thought it was a max amount for a year, but maybe it's dead by deal. Second cash consideration trade we got from Houston in a month.
  2. Why Fridge and Forte? i guess the fridge because he played with the london monarchs in nfl europe and forte because he had that sweet run against the bucs in the last london game? idk. weird either way. The Bears played a preseason game at Wembley in 1986 and the Fridge scored a TD (can't find a full box, but the below article) https://www.si.com/vault/1986/08/11/113797/go-downpitch-and-buttonhook-smartly-mate-from-punkers-to-peers-all-albion-was-agog-as-the-bears-met-the-cowboys-in-londons-jam-packed-wembley-stadium Yea, and Forte went 25-145 with a TD in a win over the Bucs, also at Wembley: https://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxscores/201110230tam.htm
  3. Why Fridge and Forte? Players who have played in international games before? Maybe each had big games?
  4. I get your point, but my counterpoint is Bloody Mary's and midday naps.
  5. First to 8 within the first 15 minutes. Sudden death after.
  6. 0.657 ops? You knew that when you signed it Well yea, since it was an agreement outside of arb, right? Hypothetically if that had let it go all the way to arb, they could still cut bait. But if they didn't they can't. Answered my question. I missed the agreement last week.
  7. If I recall, if they settled via arbitration process its not guaranteed, whereas as agreement outside of arbitration is guaranteed. It’s only non-guaranteed if you cut him for baseball reasons 0.657 ops?
  8. he got a deal like last week yeah but were they in agreement about it If I recall, if they settled via arbitration process its not guaranteed, whereas as agreement outside of arbitration is guaranteed.
  9. Did the window to dump him close and no one told me? Sort of. They could have dumped him right after the suspension. They could have just not offered him a new contract. They didn't do either of those things. They could still trade him if they can find a taker. The organization has been saying the right things lately but talk is cheap. They decided to give him the chance at redemption and have hinted that he better take it seriously. What happens if he doesn't will be a real test of what the Cubs organization believes. Did they agree to arbitration with him already?
  10. Did the window to dump him close and no one told me?
  11. So? Isn't that the same crappy excuse Mixon had? So nothing. I'm just curious if there was any proof out there of that happening. Big strong dudes pushing and kicking women is horrific, but so is being a racist hateful piece of trash. If she did that, she sucks too. Again, I do not want Kareem Hunt anywhere near the Bears...I'm asking a question about something that is being discussed. "Just asking questions" is a dumb reason.
  12. So? Isn't that the same crappy excuse Mixon had?
  13. I could actually see the McCaskeys being the saving grace here and stopping any Hunt transaction.
  14. And TomtheBombadil is the can of mixed vegetables.
  15. I realized who he reminds me of there;
  16. LOL I don't remember that Adam Gase from his one year in Chicago at all.
  17. The best for the Cubs is and always has been getting both of these stud muffins To be clear, my primary demand is that Ricketts stops being a cheap ass and carries through on the following plan: https://sports.theonion.com/yankees-ensure-2003-pennant-by-signing-every-player-in-1819566731
  18. Possible changes to expect from Fangio to Pagano: https://bearswire.usatoday.com/2019/01/12/changes-chicago-bears-defense-chuck-pagano-colts-vic-fangio/
  19. FWIW, he did have the number one defense in the league by DVOA in 2011. Yea. Per DVOA, (Rank) (%) 2011 BAL (1) (-17.1%) 2012 IND (31) (14‰) 2013 IND (16) (0.9%) 2014 IND (13) (-2.3%) 2015 IND (13) (-2.2%) 2016 IND (29) (12.5%) 2017 IND (27) (8.7%)
  20. Meh. Those IND defenses weren't too inspiring. Wonder how much turnover there will be. I bet Donatell will be gone.
  21. The story was he went into the gig ready to run the defense and much like Nagy gave him full control of the defense, he was going to trust Kubiak to run the offense. Now you have to wonder how many Bears assistants he will poach. You think he's gonna poach offensive coaches? Most likely none of the offensive coaches are poachable as they usually sign 2 year deals. Ragone would be the only one I'm not sure about. Defense will be more of a mixed bag as they came in different times. I think Donatell is the only one that confirmed as being out of contract? Now Nagy may let guys go for a true promotion to coordinator, but we shouldn't end up bleeding assistants.
  22. Potential Bears DC candidate and trash person, Gregg Williams, close to deal to be DC under Gase.
  23. All previous crimes count towards your first chance until you're caught. Also they can't charge a husband and a wife with the same crime. And if you ask a cop if they are a cop they have to tell you, so always ask.
  24. Sounds like Bowles is the DC, which removes a possible candidate if the Bears lose Fangio.
