    the last 3 games with a bunch of scrubs mostly playing has no bearing on what will happen 3 days later when the playoffs start. this would almost be like when the bears got mauled by the packers on NYE and freak out city happened on sports radio for the next two weeks

    I agree with this, nice post. And Derwood, I agree no couple got screwed but it's still morally wrong and sad that it was allowed to happen. It's morally wrong that a child who otherwise might not have a home was adopted? WTF is the argument being made here by people? As pointed out earlier, there's no shortage of babies up for adoption.

    Well in the playoffs we would have handed this game to marmol/wood with a 2 run lead, not cotts/howry. Didn't Cotts place us in this predicament? Yeah, I think he did. And to think Lou won't place Howry on the post-season roster, or use Howry in a tight spot, is just silly thinking. In the playoffs, I find it highly unlikely that anyone but Marmol or Wood would be used in any significantly "tight spots." There are off days.

    methinx your hatred for the devil rays is playing a role in this questionable pick. it really isn't...my friend thinks so too... here...i will go WAY out there i think if the ray rays play the white sox they get swept... if the ray rays play the twins they merely get defeated... hatred doesn't play a part...just a gut feeling of choke coming to them paypal bet?

    Those second half offensive numbers might also be influenced by how hot they've been against bad competition in September...
