So who is going to this thing?

Yea, just got through. Bastards couldn't do it for me. Oh, well. Guess I'll just go.

Where are your seats? I bought 2 in Section 544 and am still mulling going. Comparable tickets are going for 2-3 times what I paid, and selling them would help me pay for the Cubs playoff tickets I bought, but it would be cool to see baseball history. Section 540 One game playoff would just be cool as hell to see. I guess I could sell but I have them set up for will call so I probably screwed myself there. I did that too on accident. I just called Ticketmaster's hotline and asked them to email the tickets and they did. Non-stop busy signals for me.

Picked up a pair to tomorrow night's game. Anyone know how difficult it is to park there (in terms of traffic) and how much it costs?

I'm thinking of going to the game tomorrow night for fun. Haven't been to the Cell since my first baseball game in 93.

I wish Scully still did some national broadcasts. It couldn't be any worse than Stockton. And at least it's still his voice.

Vin Scully before the 89 NLCS, I believe.

She stands alone on the corner of Clark and Addison This dowager queen, dressed in black and pearls 75 years old Proud head held high And not a hair out of place Awaiting yet another date with destiny Another time for Mr. Right She dreams, as old ladies will Of men gone long ago Joe Tinker Johnny Evers Frank Chance And of those of recent vintage Like her man Ernie And The Lion And Sweet Billy Williams And she thinks wistfully of what might have been And the pain is still fresh and new And her eyes fill Her lips tremble And she shakes her head ever so slightly And then she sighs Pulls her shall tightly around her frail shoulders And thinks “This time.” “This time it will be better.”

Huh? October is the culmination of the entire season and what baseball is all about. Even when the Cubs aren't in it, it's hard for me to say that it's devoid of sports. The only time I don't watch the playoffs is if the Cubs made it and then were eliminated. I didn't watch a pitch of the 03 WS, nor did I watch the playoffs last year post NLDS. Watching the 04 ALCS as an outsider rooting for the Red Sox was absolutely awesome. Anyway, once we finish this deep October run, hopefully Derrick Rose and the Bears will hold me over until mid February.

The second game will feature the NL West Division Champion Los Angeles Dodgers traveling to the Windy City to face the NL Central Division Champion Chicago Cubs at 6:30 p.m. ET. Dick Stockton (play-by-play), Ron Darling (analyst),Tony Gwynn (analyst) and Sports Illustrated baseball senior writer Tom Verducci (reporter) will call the game. ](*,) ](*,) ](*,)

Possibly me with some friends. We're taking a look at what's available on the secondary market because they seem to be sold out on dodgers.com. We'll buy the plane tickets out there once we get some tickets secured.

Didn't they lose like 8 in a row in August (or was it Aug/Sept)?
