    it's pretty funny how frustrating this year has felt and there have been, at most, 3 better seasons in any of our pre-theo lifetimes. and if they win tomorrow, they tie the 89 team.

    Barring extreme cases (like some beaten down 82 win wild card instead of the Indians or Dodgers), you won't see me throwing around scenarios for the playoffs like that in terms of wanting certain opponents. For the most part I don't feel any better about facing any particular team.

    What was your reasoning? Makes it easier for the Diamondbacks to win and they have a better chance to beat the Dodgers? Or just wanted another playoff type game to watch? Definitely just wanted the most chaos possible.

    random thought as i marvel at how many good young players we've developed entirely or mostly in our system. i'm at a point now where i'd be more surprised if we had a top prospect come up and not (at least eventually) succeed. such a 180 from my mentality about prospects even 4-5 years ago. now that i'm more aware of how much of a real thing player development is and the fact that it's not all pixie dust and mirrors, i wish i could see what this regime would've gotten out of corey patterson

    The Oppo power is also aesthetically pleasing I'm not sure I've seen a ball hit there since Sammy in the NLCS (when Lofton was on base and made the, "Holy horsefeathers!" face)

    There seems to be a huge disconnect between how PFF feels about Amos and how everyone else does. He always grades out well and if he's ever talked about at all (by local media, fans, etc.) he's getting ripped. Might just be the lack of interceptions causing bias against otherwise solid play, I suppose.
