Well, maybe the Cubs NLDS game will be at 4pm and then lead right into MNF. that's what i'm hoping and I *never* hope for playoff day games
  2. David
will mitch talk to the media today or is starting qb day usually later in the week?

i still think you're a bunch of weirdos for expecting me to blow off plans i made with my niece, friends, and cousins months in advance because there wound up being a cubs playoff game scheduled at the same time. hopefully the cubs finish off the world series in fewer than 7 games this year :-"

Speculation is that it's a hamstring issue.

wish the play in game were at coors and not crappy chase field. i remember that 07 game with the padres being pure insanity

it's pretty funny how frustrating this year has felt and there have been, at most, 3 better seasons in any of our pre-theo lifetimes. and if they win tomorrow, they tie the 89 team.

horsefeathers that. I want the Cubs to own the NL Central so much no one else from the division can even get a Wild Card berth. they could've just lost in the play in game for the play in game
  14. David
Barring extreme cases (like some beaten down 82 win wild card instead of the Indians or Dodgers), you won't see me throwing around scenarios for the playoffs like that in terms of wanting certain opponents. For the most part I don't feel any better about facing any particular team.

What was your reasoning? Makes it easier for the Diamondbacks to win and they have a better chance to beat the Dodgers? Or just wanted another playoff type game to watch? Definitely just wanted the most chaos possible.

Or what would Bosio have gotten out of Prior and Wood. Eh. Rothschild was really good.
  17. David
i was hoping they'd tie for the 2nd wild card, but that'll do

these reds RD games should be trademarked

random thought as i marvel at how many good young players we've developed entirely or mostly in our system. i'm at a point now where i'd be more surprised if we had a top prospect come up and not (at least eventually) succeed. such a 180 from my mentality about prospects even 4-5 years ago. now that i'm more aware of how much of a real thing player development is and the fact that it's not all pixie dust and mirrors, i wish i could see what this regime would've gotten out of corey patterson

    lmao! awesome

damn schwarbs taking that meatball all the way on 3-0
  22. David
KB what the horsefeathers are you doing
  23. David
The Oppo power is also aesthetically pleasing I'm not sure I've seen a ball hit there since Sammy in the NLCS (when Lofton was on base and made the, "Holy horsefeathers!" face)
  24. David
i wonder where the hell they got the wood seats to make that watch wrigley took those out and replaced with plastic a million years ago
  25. David
That is an A+++++ post. If it were a tweet, i'd fave and RT.
