  3. that's twice now he's had a monster first half and hasn't been able to have a monster game largely bc of his minutes limit. i get it and it's smart, but dang.
  4. I swear everytime I watch the Bulls he misses every shot he takes. I don't think I've seen him hit a 3 live yet that's uh some pretty unfortunate timing?
  5. Living in Texas I will have to vehemently oppose this viewpoint. Astros fans are annoying and obnoxious. It doesn't seem that long ago that I was reading stories on Deadspin about the Astros literally drawing a 0.0 rating for their games. Now their fans are annoying and obnoxious. you mean nobody watched when they were terrible and losing 100 games a year but now people in houston are excited and enjoy their team doing well? no horsefeathering way.
  6. that might be true and it does make it better
  7. i love lackey's kid. last year i think he went as KB. this year he's jon jay with a bryzzo hat. [tweet] [/tweet]
  8. It’s a lock. The Cubs have way too much going for them with this lineup to not do to the MLB what the Warriors have done to the NBA. the dodgers have that too, only probably better, with more money, and the MLB playoffs are a crapshoot, which the nba playoffs aren't in any way.
  9. People with the drive to do what Theo has done generally don't get into a "there's nothing more for me to accomplish why don't I just keep doing what I'm doing" state of mind. He also explicitly stated in his first press conference that after 10 years a change is good, hence the reason there's a huge correlation between the core's FA timeline and his second 5 year contract. Assuming Theo leaves at that point, best case scenario would be Jed moving into his role and perhaps McLeod as GM (if he hasn't already taken a GM role elsewhere). theo said a lot of things at that press conference and he's very good with words and with explaining things, but that whole 10 years thing is overblown. he was miserable in boston and came up with an old quote from Bill Walsh to explain at his introductory press conference why he left a sinking ship that was going down in flames. (he also said "Every season is sacred" and talked about dual fronts, trying to win and trying to build at the same time at that press conference) by all accounts, he is not miserable here, and I can't see him leaving for at least as long as this team is winning divisions and giving him chances to add more jewelry to his collection. if it wasn't for his miserable relationship with ownership and lucchino (or, in other words, if he had a relationship there like the one he has with ownership here) i doubt he would've ever left.
  10. ozzie guillen openly campaigned for the role when asked about it lol it would, at the very least, be insanely entertaining watching sox fans flip out
