    i mean, yeah, he's a jerk at times but he's still homer the goofy immature lovable idiot. jerk ass homer is just a different character/era altogether. at worst it's a misnomer, but it's real.

    While you should definitely drop absolutely everything you are doing and mainline at least the first 6 seasons right now, it will probably never have the same impact as growing up with comedy perfection in real time. FALSE. And really, seasons 3-8. i'm good with any non jerk ass homer season, but you're right, show really hit its stride starting season 3. earlier ones are good but not on that level.

    This is some combination of the Bears so desperately needing a downfield threat and the Bears playbook currently being so simplistic that one can learn enough of it in 3 days to play. Well, they still haven't said he'll play, and there's skepticism among some of the beat writers...but they've said he'll make the trip.
