  1. I really hope this FT shooting doesn’t come back to bite the Illini. What the hell.
  2. There’s a decent chance they get a compensatory 4th for Mooney too, which would bump them to ten picks (their full slate of picks, Carolina 2nd, comp 4th, Pittsburgh’s 6th). Fully agree there’s no need to “restock the cupboard” this year, especially when the cupboard is only lacking is late round picks.
  3. 19 horsefeathers years in between Sweet Sixteens. I was a senior in high school and had just decided to attend Illinois before their run to the finals in ‘05. Never in my wildest 17-year-old dreams would I have thought they wouldn’t make it through the first weekend again for nearly two decades. Feels good.
  4. JMU deserves a ton of credit. Their defense was relentless. Active hands on every play. 14 steals. Wisconsin looked out of sync on offense all game but JMU’s aggressiveness was a huge factor.
  5. They are so bad at defending against screens. It’s extremely frustrating to watch.
  6. Loyola 2021 is the one that always sticks out in my head. Moser thoroughly out coached BU. There were certainly others in the past too. The Achilles heel for this year’s team is really just defense. With TJ and Hawkins, a mobile big-bodied big in Dainja, and a high motor player in Rodgers, defense shouldn’t really be an issue. But as a team, they disappear for long stretches.
  7. What games stand out to you this season where BU didn’t make adjustments? Genuinely curious as I wasn’t able to watch a ton of games this year, but from what I did watch he seemed to lean on the versatility of the roster to adapt on the fly. I’d agree that it was an issue in previous seasons but I wonder if that had more today with the limitations of his roster. With prominent players like Kofi (lived on the paint on both sides), Curbelo (turnovers), Trent (offense would completely disappear for entire games), you couldn’t take them off the floor, but there were certain things Underwood just had to live with.
  8. This is a really laborious way of saying Shannon and Dainja led the team in scoring.
  9. Did you look at other tweets from this account? It’s an unfunny parody account.
  10. I would still throw center in there, but I think Ryan Poles would disagree, unfortunately.
  11. The Bears still have 4 picks in the top 4 rounds. I can see the appeal of trading down if there’s a strong opportunity to fill two of C, edge, and WR by doing so, but I’ve seen Bears fans clamoring for a trade down to replenish picks spent in the Allen and Bates trades, which feels like collecting picks just for the sake of it. Poles has filled out depth in the secondary, LB, and OL via free agency. He’s not backed into a corner where he needs to recoup days 3 picks. If they do indeed get a comp pick for Mooney, the lack of picks this year will balance out next year. He’s in a good spot to do whatever he wants.
  12. The Bears should have cheap talent at QB, both OT positions, and, hopefully, WR for the next few seasons. FA is not always the smartest way to spend money, but it does seem like they’re in a good spot to be a little aggressive.
  13. They also got Samuel Zavala. But agreed. Seems like a fair deal but they didn’t exactly plunder SD’s system.

  15. I would be thrilled if PCA’s career wound up looking like Kevin Kiermaier’s.
  16. Listen, every time I think I’ve learned how to embed tweets, I horsefeathers it up again.

  18. Jaylon Johnson getting tagged.
  19. ah whoops. Kyle already posted the Ohtani tweet.
  20. yeah, that guy doesn’t know horsefeathers.
  21. complaining about the awful owners of the cubs on a cubs message board shouldn’t be off limits.
  22. if you don’t like the way this board is managed you should go to dunkin donuts
