  1. Pretty sure I saw him lined up when they intentionally took the delay of game, but I didn’t spot him on any plays that were actually run.
  2. Holy horsefeathers, you are insufferable.
  3. I haven’t seen anyone drawing any conclusions about him based on today’s performance.
  4. It seemed like DeMarcus Walker stepped up big in the second half. Every time the pocket collapsed on Levis, felt like #95 was right there.
  5. It’s really depressing that we seem to have an OLine problem for the 18th year in a row. But Caleb was bad. Full stop. Inaccurate throws, not seeing open receivers, and as Kyle mentioned, not showing off that special ability to escape pressure and get the ball downfield in spite of the bad line. This game has next to no bearing on my level of optimism for Caleb long term, but I was expecting much more.
  6. Outside of PCA, there’s not a prospect or young player on the 26-man that should be off limits in a trade for these two. You mention it in your post and it’s been said plenty on this board the past two years but this lineup looks so much better with a 30+ HR bat thrown in the middle of it.
  7. Blasingame being cut combined with the Webster and Wheeler injuries seems to bode well for Velus making the 53-man.
  8. This is 100% a fair take. Putting Kyler, Stanford and Lawrence ahead of him makes sense. That said, there’s enough question marks around each of the three (age, health, consistency, etc.) that I’m going to stick with my Bears Kool-Aid take. What’s the point of having a #1 overall pick who local media, national media, and other teams’ beat reporters are raving about and who is stepping into a dream scenario in terms of skill players if you can’t let yourself get a little carried away?
  9. yeah but that’s no fun
  10. Stroud. Kyler and Lawrence are the two I was questioning but Lawrence was decidedly mediocre last year. Murray is three years removed from being a top tier QB but to your point, an awful roster, poor health and bad coaching have all been factors in that. There’s reason to believe in a bounce back for him.
  11. It was Wendy’s. Free White Sox ticket when you “biggie size” your meal. I still remember the commercial with Ozzie.
  12. Is it getting carried away to say the Bears have the QB advantage in 8 of their first 9 games this year? Because I think they very well might.
  13. I got in the car when he was in the midst of talking about it, so didn’t hear the full story, but he said something along the lines of his doctor told him if this was twenty years ago, his prognosis would have been extremely bleak for his particular form of prostate cancer. Recent research has apparently come a long way.
  14. Ryno just announced on the Score’s Radiothon (raising money for cancer research) that he had his final radiation treatment and rang the bell this morning.
  15. I’m ok with missing out on him given his age. I’m very happy to see Poles is still aggressively working to upgrade the roster at this stage of the offseason.
  16. I’d be fairly surprised if Velus didn’t make the team. It feels like they’re going out of their way to justify keeping him in the name of flexibility. I don’t agree with it, but I think they still want to find a way to unlock the potential they see in him.
  17. hard knocks is 30+ minutes late to drop on max. r/chibears rightfully losing its horsefeathers
  18. That would make sense. I thought about Rahimi and Herron too but each have other commitments.
  19. I like Parkins and Spiegel well enough. I’ll be interested to see who they replace him with. Maybe someone like Ramie Makhlouf or Gabe Ramirez?
  20. Excellent, thank you. One extra step: unless you go in and select what type of content you wish to ignore (posts, messages, mentions), you’ll still see an ignored user’s posts.
  21. I honestly don’t know how. I just poked around and couldn’t figure it out. Care to help?
  22. Honestly, the unhinged takes are bleeding into every single thread lately. It’s obnoxious.
  23. I don’t think SD is quite in our sights yet, but if we’re feeling ambitious, might as well point out that the Brewers lost too. This was about as perfect of an off day as possible.
  24. Decent day for scoreboard watching so far. Braves lost, Giants and Pirates are losing. Reds won.
