  1. I always thought it went by your record last season, which would make the Cubs get first dibs. But, current record would make more sense. In which case, it'd be best to pick him up before we pass MIL.
  2. those were my thoughts exactly. griffey...ok...he puts people in the seats thats fine. but why on earth do you not trade dunn when he's just going to walk this offseason? The nats did that last year with soriano, it's just so stupid. Why don't the nats trade cordero when RP is so highly regarded this year? Isn't Dunn signed through next season, but if he's traded he can choose to walk out on it or something like that?
  3. That seriously is the most ignorant statement ever. How did Milwaukee get better, Scott Linebrink? Have you forgotten that we have been consistently gaining on them for 2 months? My God. I am fairly certain they are still ahead of us even with there best pitcher on the dl. When he gets back there lead will go up again. They are a game ahead of us. Not long ago it was 8.5 games ahead of us. Notice a trend here? A middle reliever will not stop that trend from continuing. The Brewers are a horrible baseball team away from their home park. They are not a playoff caliber team, and a middle reliever won't help that, especially since any good he does for the team will be washed away when Cordero blows it for them. Not that I don't agree about the Cubs being the better team at this point, but I do believe he was referring to Ben Sheets, not any middle reliever. Hasn't Gallardo (sorry if that's misspelled) been pretty damn good for them in Sheets's place?

  5. wait a minute, is your "source" Len? does Len work in the media office for the Nationals? Maybe? well he can't tell me anything on IM right now since he's at work and doesn't want to get in trouble. Grrrr Tell him to send you news in a text message on your cell phone or something. I want updates :x
  6. I have a gut feeling he'll wind up in Milwaukee, and that would suck. Since it was posted on mlbtraderumors, it probably means that it isn't true, but the only reason I could see the Cubs getting in on a Gagne deal is to block the Brewers from getting him.
  7. Looks like Wood is gonna be popping Cherry........'s chance to produce this season in the majors. eh...that joke had such potential and I made it fail hard. I'm sure Wood has popped a lot of cherry's in his time. Much better. Thank you.

  9. I think the difference is that Dunn is really good against righties, to the tune of a 1.074 OPS. While that's a very good point, incase you haven't noticed, this team has no issues hitting against right handed pitching. It's the lefties that get us. If we are to add a bat before Tuesday's deadline, I would much prefer it to be somebody who mashes left handed pitching, even if their overall stats aren't as impressive as Dunn's.
  10. If Dunn is here I'm not sure there's gonna be many at-bats for Jones. there will be unless we have someone else to play CF I just wish we had a 22 year old 5-tool prospect tearing up triple A to replace Jones with.
  11. For the record, the Reds announcers today made an interesting point. They quoted Dunn's stats against left handed pitching this year. Something like .190 with 4 homers. We already have one outfielder who is good against righties and is a little leaguer against lefties. I'd prefer not to have two of those, especially if it costs us Murton (Who may be a better option regardless) I hadn't seen it quoted in any posts so far, though it probably has. Thought it was kind of interesting.
  12. I might be evil, but i'm getting a kick out of this stuff at the brewers boards. This guy sounds so sore....
  13. That's a pretty good one, too. Aren't they the ones about to lose an 8.5 game lead in a little more than a month?

  15. Oh man, this is great. 3 runs score on a double. Pujols out in a rundown.
  16. *coughs* hahahahahahahahahahahaha Oh man, this is funny stuff.
  17. I've actually always liked Ludwick. He's one card I don't mind rooting for. I hope he hits one 630 feet.
  18. We haven't even traded for him yet and he's already helping us make the playoffs! :P
  19. TIE GAME! I love when the Brewers have a lead on the road. Somehow, they always find a way to cough it up :D
  20. Awesome. Hit and run. first and third nobody out.
  21. Nevermind this post.
  22. Good. I felt dirty rooting for Edmund there for a second. I'm kinda glad he failed so hard.
