I've got some pizzas coming, and I just found out my wife's due date today. This is one of those rare days where if the Cubs lose 13-0, I still won't stop smiling. I'm on top of the friggin universe right now! Oh, nice. Congrats. I wish I had pizza :P

.....how do you work on something in Spring Training, not show it in games, and keep it a secret until the end of the season? What the hell? Is he planning on showing something new in the playoffs? Doesn't he realize that this team is finishing 4-158 because we have a sham closer, Corey's twin in CF, Derosa can't handle trade talks, and Soriano strikes out too much (which is way worse than any other kind of out you can make)? Our catcher flying out to the warning track every at bat isn't helping things, either. =/

I loved all of the "Neifi saved us" crap a while ago. Carrie Muskat did a mailbag where she said "Neifi saved the Cubs in 2005!" so I sent her an email asking her how somebody goes about saving an under .500 team, and how a .290ish OBP constitutes saving. She didn't respond.

I got an error when I tried to post this earlier, so sorry if this is a double post. Good to get the win, but I think the Cubs deserve downgraded to the Cobs in the next game thread for this crap.

Theriot stole again. It might help us win, but it means he'll get the starts for at least another week. Man, the Pirates really suck. Can we please just win this so I can go to work? Another walk to Soriano. This guy just pulled off the impossible, walking Theriot and Soriano in the same inning. Jesus.

Pat Hughes is one of, if not THE best radio announcer in baseball. I really like the Cleveland Indian's radio crew, that's the only one I can think that rivals him.

This is off topic a bit, but do the Blue Jays have any plans for a new stadium in the future?

The Reds will probably be in the division race. Probably trailing safely behind us and Milwaukee, but close enough to warrant Dusty to destroy those young pitchers they have. I'm not too worried because odds are that great young pitching will be on the DL by the ASB next season.
