Yeah, Pat's call was disappointing. Strange because normally his calls of big moments are outstanding. I think that he was just so surprised that Ward did something productive that he didn't know what to say.

god bless the royals. If there was an opposite to the World Series, the Royals and the Nationals would be it. They should have a "losers playoffs," where the last place team in each division makes it, and then the wild card with the second-to-last team in their division with the worst record makes it. What would the winners of this playoff get? the first pick in the draft. It'd obviously never happen, but that would actually be quite interesting to watch. -

I'd do it just to see that creepy youtube cardinal fan get mad. That's worth a few mil to me. I'll vote no though. The Cubs have ADD or something when it comes to managing position player prospects, time to focus on actually getting Pie at bats after this.

Why would you want to reward a batter for swinging at a pitch that was so bad that a major league catcher couldn't stop it? The fact that they can do that on strike 3 is stupid, being able to do it for any strike would be horrible.

That's what makes this such a great team. DLee couldn't come up with that clutch double play, but Ramirez is right there to pick him up. Such a great thing to watch.
