I know we're the best team in the NL, so I don't really care who we play. It's much more worth it to see the Brewers collapse after how nasty their fans were last year and this year until we swept them at our backup ballpark. I submit that as the new nickname for Miller Park. That's better than Wrigley North.
With Sheets, Sabathia, and Gagne leaving town to free up a lot of money, and the Brewer's constant bullpen howryness, could the Brewers look to add him? Not saying it'd be smart, but it seems like it'd make at least a bit of sense.
2 on for Burrel with Gagne (haha) warming up in the pen. Count me in with the "I want the division clinched ASAP and don't care about who we play in the playoffs." group. Burrel singles, 4-3 Phillies.
Get Cuban to buy the Cubs then sign/trade for every good player in the league. C - Soto 1b - Pujols 2b - Utley 3b - A-Rod SS - H. Ramirez LF - Soriano CF - Sizemore RF - Fukudome (we'll keep him around for the funny last name) 1. Zambrano 2. Harden 3. Webb 4. Liriano 5. Santana then call it an offseason and get ready for spring.
Oh, I wasn't saying that they have any shot at the division. But the wildcard they could possibly do, and by "come close to winning out" I meant something like 10-2 or 9-3, not including the series with the Cubs.
Man, I never watch BBTN but I wanted to see the highlights of this one....why the hell are they now referring to the Red Sox as "Nation"? It honestly took me quite a while to realize what they were talking about, and it's incredibly lame and annoying.
The Astros have a really, really easy schedule the rest of the season. They could legitimately come close to winning out after/before/whenever the Cub's series.
My prediction for the rest of the game: Rich Harden sac bunt Soriano home run Theriot single to right D Lee double play Harden shuts them down then it's rained out. and by the time I posted this, it was wrong. COOOL
