Yeah but Heyward is is really good at everything else (and has a .375 OBP coming into today) whereas Soler is pretty worthless if he isn't hitting 150MPH line drives all over the park. -

Watching Castillo when he first came up is what originally made me a big believer in it.

That was my first thought, too. When the ball was hit I thought it would be caught, then my heart sank when the cameras switched and Soler was in the stands or something. And as bob pointed out, he looks like he got caught in between diving for the catch and trying for the runner at home, and he made a bad throw as a result. Thats a really annoying play to end a really annoying game. I want to believe that Schwarber would have fucked that play up, too, because if not I might have to be really pissed about this final play.

Not sure if you are kidding but there is 0% chance he's back this year. I don't care if he's running marathons in September they won't bring him back. Oh, im definitely kidding. He wont be back. But I miss him already and i want him back for October :(

Other people won't let it die. There are now multiple threads containing zingers directed at me that were unprovoked. I was more than willing to drop it after the nomz thread got locked. We should start a "topic de-railing debates" thread, where instead of locking a perfectly good topic because of off topic fighting, we just move the fight to there. Locked threads are literally the worst, especially when theyre locked because of dumb stuff.

Schwarber actually didnt have a hit yet this season and we're still averaging 9 runs per game. I mean, it still sucks, but at least thers the whole 'we dont really NEED him' angle that we can look at.

They were testing his ACL on the field, and it really didnt look like it passed that test. I thought he was gone for 2016. Very happy to hear, hopefully the mri goes as well. The at bat he had before the injury was a really great at bat, too :/

So I'm rewatching last night's game, and the ESPN announcers asked what the over/under is on 20 run games for the Cubs this year. The other announcer answered that he thought they'd do it once. What would you set it at? Would you take the over at 2.5? I'd definitely take the over at 1.5.
