  1. Just to add on to that. The most games he's played in CF in one season was 33. I suspect it was because of an injury. In all other seasons he's played CF in less than a dozen games/year. He also played 27 games there in 2004 in addition to the 33 in 2005. In 2006 and 2007, he hasn't played much center, but that's understandable considering Granderson started 143 games there last year and has started 110 games there already this year. He's certainly played enough there to be considered a candidate out there, and both Lou and Hendry emphasized that he can play all 3 OF positions, so I don't think they will be hesitant to put him out there. In 2004-2005 the alternatives were Nook Logan and Alex Sanchez in CF.
  2. Signed up, and yes, please go with fractional points. I don't see any reason not to.
  3. I know, it's crazy. The Cubs get a guy to replace Murton who plays his position and hits from the same side of the plate and his name gets brought up. Who knew?
  4. No, actually he sucked. Your assesment of his contributions suck. Burnitz played 160 games of solid RF. He scored 84 runs, hit 24 HR, and drove in 87 on a bad team. He hit .258/.322/.435 for a 96 OPS+ as a Right Fielder. He was pretty bad.
  5. That was great. "Watching these "experts" do a fantasy draft is like watching a dating advice show hosted by Screech and Bill Nye the Science Guy."
  6. THAT'S what it was called. I've recalled sketches from that show several times, I could never remember the name though.
  7. Fulham just signed Casey Keller, making it 5 Americans on their roster now. That also means that Americans now make up 20% of the starting goalkeepers in the EPL, with Howard, Hahnemann, and Friedel being the others(kudos to SBI for that factoid).
  8. Braylon Edwards - WR - CLE Alex Smith - QB - SF
  9. Definitely need someone more reliable than Quinn as the backup if McNabb is your starter. And I agree with the guy who said the WR core doesn't look good.
  10. Does anyone know of any good outfield bats coming into free agency this year? Sulley's a big Andruw fan.
  11. Murton since being recalled Overall: .254/.323/.441/.764 v. RHP: .268/.348/.512/.860
  12. That's because he was 36 by the time he got to St. Louis. He still put up one of the top 5 seasons of his 17 year career there(pending '07).
  13. I voted the Gatorade bucket on the condition that it's mostly full. An empty Gatorade cooler could conceivably blow far enough in the wind during a fly ball to cover roughly 5-6x the ground that Floyd could.
  14. Fantastic. Jamie Kennedy did this to "X" an audience at a college basketball game once. Proposed to a girl(who was in on it) and was turned down in humiliating fashion. Then he won some contest to shoot a free throw for a bunch of money and screwed that up too, also in humiliating fashion.
  15. That quote conflicts with some reports I'd read about Thomas' defensive capabilities.
  16. Taken Players, NOT in Alphabetical order QB Tom Brady Drew Brees Mark Bulger Matt Hasselbeck Peyton Manning Donovan McNabb Carson Palmer Philip Rivers Tony Romo RB LaDainian Tomlinson Steven Jackson Larry Johnson Shaun Alexander Brian Westbrook Frank Gore Joseph Addai Lawrence Maroney Edgerrin James Rudi Johnson Willie Parker Reggie Bush Willis McGahee Ronnie Brown Maurice Jones-Drew Clinton Portis Travis Henry Brandon Jacobs Thomas Jones Cedric Benson Marshawn Lynch Cadillac Williams Deuce McAllister Jerious Norwood DeAngelo Williams Ahman Green LaMont Jordan Tatum Bell Adrian Peterson (MIN) WR Chad Johnson Reggie Wayne Steve Smith Torry Holt Marvin Harrison Terrell Owens Donald Driver Plaxico Burress Roy Williams TJ Houshmandzadeh Javon Walker Larry Fitzgerald Lee Evans Andre Johnson Marques Colston Anquan Boldin Laveranues Coles Randy Moss Calvin Johnson Darrell Jackson TE Antonio Gates Jeremy Shockey Kellen Winslow Todd Heap Tony Gonzalez Vernon Davis Chris Cooley DEF Chicago Baltimore
  17. Hopefully he tears his ACL or something. Too bad you guys don't play Ball State.
  18. It shouldn't be a problem if everyone just updated their rosters after they make their picks. Probably, but if you're drafting a certain position, it's easier than checking each roster for that position.
  19. I'll try to get an updated "taken players" list up by the end of the day.
  20. Yeah, this is such an advantage for StL it isn't even funny. Kip has killed the Cubs, and we all know how easily Z can start to run up his pitch counts. It prob works out better for the Cards, but it's not nearly as lopsided as everyone is making it out to be. Well, Theriot walked to lead off the game, but Jones GIDP.
  21. Johnny English was brilliant cinema, I don't care what anyone says.
  22. How does Hendry not get credit for Lee, Ramirez, or Nomar? That's exactly what he's supposed to do, find inefficiencies like that. The idea that he lucked into those is insane, especially when he was pretty much the orchestrator of the Nomar deal by all accounts.
