  1. Fuentes is a good reliever, but I wouldn't give up too much in resources to get him. The odds of one or two guys among Eyre, Howry, Ascanio, Wuertz, and even Wells or Marshall pitching well out of the pen is quite high. It's up to Lou to use them, and understand that you can't have a pen full of completely dominant relievers like Wood and Marmol, so patience is necessary with the other middle relievers.
  2. Exciting game thus far, Portugal and the Czechs scoring within the first 20 mins.
  3. For every bit you can expect Dempster to fall, you can expect Lilly to rise. And that's not including the benefit we get if Hill starts throwing strikes again.
  4. Look at his minor league success. He was very, very, very good as a starter.
  5. Wainwright's turn in the rotation hasn't been missed yet, and they haven't played a game without Pujols yet.
  6. You've got it backwards. Keep Wood healthy in the pen, move Marmol to the rotation.
  7. At least there's no Finals game tonight. By the end of the Sunday game I was sure they were just going to put up a screen that said "THE NBA FINALS ARE OVER ON ABC" instead of showing the 9th inning. I also had no idea that Jurrjens was Dutch.
  8. No when you move the DH to the field you can't make someone else the DH. huh. what if the DH gets hurt? can someone off your bench become the DH? Yes, you can pinch hit for the DH as much as you want. None of those guys can go in the field though, or whoever they replace will have the pitcher hit in their spot.
  9. haha, strike one to Lilly was closer to hitting him than the plate
  10. seriously, how can you be a major league centerfielder and take that bad of an angle to the ball, I almost laughed at Johnson
  11. hahaha, what a terrible angle Johnson took to that ball
  12. he's on pace for 40 homers and his OPS is over 1.000 such bull crap Two seasons ago, Geovany Soto had never posted an OPS better than .750 in the minors. We get our share, too. He's a 25 year old catching prospect. Ludwick's a 29 year old outfielder with more than a full season's worth of playing time spanning 5 seasons.
  13. haha, I'm honestly surprised that 1-1 pitch was called a ball and it was a foot outside
  14. there are no words anymore we have questec here right?
  15. 4 Keepers works for me. I don't mind the 3 year keeper period either, but I'd point out that there probably aren't a ton of guys in the NFL who are keepers that long. I'd prefer not to play for cash.
  16. haha, nevermind I forgot the strike zone is the glove
  17. What a dumb thing to do, I bet Theriot makes him pay
  18. That's a balk, and it's not close. Of course, most LH pickoff moves are.
  19. You're the only one that can possibly do that.
