    No one even made any projections about him or anything like that. It's okay to be happy when a Cubs player or farmhand does well.

    Strong pitching for Iowa. Wells goes 6 scoreless, 3 hits and 8/1 K/BB, and Ascanio scattered a single and a double while striking out the side in the 7th. I wonder how Wells' stuff would play in the bullpen. Hoffpauir is 2/3 with a 2B, Hill and Dubois are 2/3 with a HR each. Fuld and Spears each went 3/5 with a HR for Tennessee. Spears also hit a double, and pushed himself over an .800 OPS for the year. Guyer is 2/4 with a 2B for Peoria. He's OPSing over .870 now.

    1-2-3 7th for Jackson with a K. He should be done at 4.2 IP, 3 H, 3 ER, 7/1 K/BB, 1 HR As a pro, Jackson has a 51/6 K/BB with a 1.06 WHIP in 33 IP EDIT: That is Jackson's final line.

    All those draft time reports are really positive about everyone, so that's something to keep in mind as well. He still seemed like a strong pick for a 9th rounder though. A single and a K for Jackson in the 6th. 3.2 IP, 3 H, 3 R, 6/1 K/BB, 1 HR

    Looks like I jinxed Jackson. A walk and two hits, including a 3 run home run, in Jackson's 3rd inning of work. He also added his 5th K.
