  1. Against Jake McGee, yes. you're really bad at this I'll just edit all the posts afterwards to make myself right
  2. this would be a good spot for the rolleyes emoji if I weren't fundamentally opposed to using them
  3. so even in our fantasies Heyward lets us down? Against Jake McGee, yes.
  4. Fowler 1B Heyward K Zobrist BB Rizzo HR lets go
  5. http://img.gawkerassets.com/img/18w8nevacs25wgif/ku-xlarge.gif
  6. Giving up an out on purpose with the hottest hitter in the lineup would have been criminal. Dex hit it hard, just for an out. Dexter should swing away there, but he didn't hit it hard, he popped it 200 feet in the air to short LCF.
  7. Jordan Morris got on the board in MLS. Also, how about this save from Andre Blake: [tweet]https://twitter.com/totalmls/status/721532250144313349[/tweet]
  8. It looked like the umpire was calling it, but it was a pop up at home plate that the catcher caught anyway. Diaz didn't run out of the box and the catcher bumped into him tracking the pop up.
  9. Any idea what his LD% is looking like compared to last year? Entering today it was 21.7% this year, compared to 27.8% last year.
  10. Soler currently has an .818 OPS, 11% BB%, 18% K%, and .261 BABIP.
  11. 'got under it' He would've hit it 400 feet on a normal day
  12. this zone is not conducive to coming back from a deficit, it's too bad we've been sequenced to death thus far
  13. 3rd time through the order, time to bring the pain
  14. he's out anyway but he did not remotely leave a lane there
  15. There's 2 outs and the pitcher is on deck, that base makes a big difference.
  16. Didn't the Cubs clear a spot when the Marlins claimed Jokisch yesterday? 25 man spot, not 40 man. Contreras is already on the 40 man, and even if he wasn't, that's a lot easier to manipulate with all the AAAA relievers currently on it.
  17. I wonder if we will see Contreras come up for a few weeks once we get to about June/July to catch some games in order to keep Montero fresh? There's a stretch of 20 straight games from end of June into the first weekish of July, that wouldn't be a bad time to bring him to start maybe 5 of those games. I'm sure Contreras will be up by September, but one of the problems is one of roster spots. All the players at the bottom of the roster need to pass through waivers to be sent down(Szczur, Ramirez, Richard, etc) so you risk losing that guy for good if you do it. There are worse fates than letting Szczur go, and injuries/performance might open a more obvious spot by summer, but at the moment I'm not comfortable being certain that tradeoff will work itself out.
  18. Surprised to see Montero in there. To be honest, I'd almost prefer he not be in there since one of his biggest risks(injury/wearing down) is magnified with Schwarber not catching 30 games.
