  1. I was gonna make a joke, but instead this warning: Do not, I repeat do NOT, google image search 'too many teeth'.
  2. I'd expect to see Soler and Ross today, then La Stella and Montero tomorrow, given the LH night/RH day combo the next two days.
  3. Not that anyone expected the Reds to make a run, but their quick start dissipated real quick. They've lost 6 of their last 7, and they get the Cubs(and the top of their rotation) for 4 games this weekend.
  4. why would that be surprising? ideally, no, but i think that the likelihood that the 6th or 7th SP on your depth chart gets a start at some point is probably better than 50% :shrugs: Personally he'd be my first choice to start in the bunch. He's got the best resume of the bunch as a starter and is actually the youngest one still. That 3-2 changeup was an experiment he could afford at 5-0 with two outs. I dug it, even though the pitch sucked. This post really confused me, then I realized I watched the entire bottom of the 9th thinking that Warren was pitching when it was actually Cahill.
  5. Dexter Fowler, who as you recall was available to any team for a few dollars after the start of spring training, currently leads the majors in fWAR as we approach the 10% mark of the season.
  6. They're in the early portion of 28 games in 29 days, I imagine that workload for the best reliever on the team won't be something that's an enduring issue.
  7. I have a buddy who got $11 seats to tonight's game. He claims he has an option for < $5 seats for the Phillies weekday series in a couple weeks.
  8. To answer your question, that K dropped his ERA by 0.41.
  9. Cubs pitchers just changeupping oppo handed hitters to death
  10. Szczur is up, he ran for Soler last inning
  11. Matheny finally brings Lyons in to face Zobrist (better against LHP), Rizzo (no platoon split) and Bryant (a literal LHP nightmare) good stuff
  12. lol Matheny lucked out with that impossibly slow hook on Leake
  13. wait, is the bullpen just now stirring for St. Louis? Surely someone is warmed up by now right?
  14. Paul Blackburn is having himself an interesting April at Tennessee. 7 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 3/3 K/BB tonight 18 IP, 11 H, 1 R, 10/4 K/BB, 0 HR overall If he can be that hard to hit or close to it, then he becomes more of a potential big leaguer.
  15. lol of all the calls (on either side) to complain about, Moss is pissed about that one?
  16. (•_•) <) )╯3rd time / \ \(•_•) ( (> thru / \ (•_•) <) )> the order / \
  17. With Wong not committing to a direction he's trying to get Montero to throw by closing the gap. Montero has to make that throw earlier and trust KB and then Lackey to do the same thing from a better starting point.
  18. I know it's been said a lot.....but it's bizarre that they are so displeased by a dude who played six months for them. Cardinal fan jokes aside I sort of get it. They gave up some decent pieces for him (and Shelby miller got a crapload a season later) and then offered him what would have been by far the biggest contract in cardinals history and he spurned them to go their their biggest rivals. Mooney don't care [tweet] [/tweet]
