  1. Yes and yes. The question is how much are those going to rise from their current state.
  2. Pierre's career high in runs is 108, and he did that with an OBP about 100 points higher than it is now. His number of runs(which is largely team dependent anyway) thus far is an anomaly.

  4. How did he do that? I missed the first 7 innings, so I'm geniunely curious. In the top of the 8th he double switched out Jones when he brought in Howry. Jones's replacement Mabry then messed up a fly ball down the line the next hitter. Yeah, I saw that. You can't blame the game on Dusty only because of that. From the last two innings that I saw, the bullpen lost the game, not Dusty. Agreed, I'm not saying we lost the game because of it, but that double switch hurt us pretty badly.

  6. yeah 20 games in & season's over. He definitely said the season's over in that post. I think I'm going to go post in that "I hate the rolleyes" thread again.
  7. He thinks it's a simulated game with the lineup he's facing.
  8. You can't assume everything would have stayed the same. Nevertheless, a terrible decision. Why did he pull him? Anyone know? To quote Tim: "I'm not sure Dusty realizes he can pull the pitcher and not do a double switch."

  10. Are you still talking about the double switch? If Dusty had just waited, we wouldn't have to worry about any other pinch hitters that inning.
  11. The Marlins have no lefties in their pen. We'll see Neifi. And there he is in the on deck circle. Well, it's up to you Hairston.
  12. I don't care who is on the mound, Barrett needs to PH for the pitcher's spot. If he's not available, then it's Restovich.
  13. If Matt Herges is your closer, then I don't think it's that big a deal not going to him in this instance.
  14. If the 1-0 pitch was called the way it should have been, though, it would be 2-0 and he'd be taking. He left that pitch up, so it wasn't a bad one to swing at. See this at bat.
  15. Pitcher's spot up right now. Double switch totally not useless. It is when you are pretty much guaranteed to go around the order again if you are going to win the game. Leave Jones in there, pinch hit with Mabry, then make the decision on whether or not to leave Mabry in the field, or to put him somewhere else depending on how far we get in the lineup. There was no reason for Dusty to put Mabry in the game that soon.
