  1. Seriously, can we start a petition to get rid of the rolleyes or something maybe auto-ban someone who uses it towards another person
  2. good thinking Hunter, he would definitely throw behind Lee on purpose when he's getting hit hard and there's a runner on second. it's wet outside too you schmuck
  3. This might be the most ridiculous statement ever made on nsbb.com He was clearly kidding.
  4. They didn't show a good angle on the second one, but on the first one he was definitely moving towards the plate.
  5. When umpires are afraid to call balks just because they're rare.
  6. Good call Sarge. And on the replay it sure looked like he was moving toward the plate.
  7. It's taking a lot of energy to keep from getting over-excited about Ronny's future at SS.
  8. I don't think this is unexpected. Many people thought he wouldn't see Peoria this year, or at least until late in the season. Why is that? I cant see how not pitching against meaningful competition can help him in any way. I thought high drafted highschool picks always pretty much went straight to Boise or Peoria. What types of things is he doing in Arizona? When does Boise's season start? Thats the short season rookie ball team correct? Boise doesn't start til later in the year. The thinking was with Pawelek's age it's best to bring him along slowly. Even more so if they are going to be modifying his mechanics, which they may be wanting to do IIRC(Someone else feel free to correct me).
  9. That means nothing if Sheets can't stay healthy. Capuano carried them last season. I wouldn't say that Zambrano is as dominant a pitcher as Wood or Prior when all are healthy and at the top of their game. Heck, Doug Melvin even described Capuano as the ace when he was interviewed on The Score Friday. When Dan Bernstein talked to him about Sheets injuries Melvin was quick to say that Capuano has emerged has the leader of the staff. Sheets threw over 150 innings last year, it's not like he spent the year on the DL. Capuano was barely above league average last year. Regardless of what cliched speak their management proclaims, Capuano isn't the ace. Heck, Davis was better than Capuano last year.
  10. I don't think this is unexpected. Many people thought he wouldn't see Peoria this year, or at least until late in the season.
  11. PSU guys, what do you make of Zemaitis? TB nabbed him in the 4th round.
  12. You think Burrell would accept moving to RF??? Isn't RF considered more prestigious or difficult than LF? I would think that would be like a promotion.
  13. It's bittersweet at this end as well. :P Pretty solid pick for the 3rd round. One of these years Tampa is going to be able to draft a deep threat(thanks for rising from the dead last year Joey Galloway), Stovall seems monotonous with Clayton, but he's a good value nonetheless.
  14. That Henry one was ridiculous. How about the Ronaldinho warm-up one? That sequence where he bangs it off the crossbar back to him three times in a row has to be fake.
  15. 8 innings Furthermore, over 6 of those innings are very solid work, with a couple of poor outings skewing the numbers. Show me because I don't see them in the game logs. And btw, I count about 15 innings, not 8. I was addressing Wuertz and Ohman, they have a combined 7.2 IP this year. Combining their good outings: 6.1 IP, 0 ER, 3 H, 6 K, 2 BB Which comes to a 0.00 ERA, 0.79 WHIP, 8.53 K/9, 3.00 K/BB
  16. 8 innings Furthermore, over 6 of those innings are very solid work, with a couple of poor outings skewing the numbers.
  17. Why are we condemning Wuertz and Ohman based on their combined 7 and 2 thirds innings, when they were both significantly better in a combined ~120 innings last year.
  18. Is he the dude Brad Smith trucked over on that monstrous up the middle run? Also, congrats to D'Qwell Jackson on being an NFL bust.
  19. So it's either BalsaWood or Treeman depending on how it's defined.
