  1. They already have big money at the last level tied to Fuller and will soon have big money tied to Jackson. Can't afford 3 10Mil dollar DBs in the near future
  2. I don't see Judon getting more than ZaDarius Smith got (4/66). In fact, if the Bears are willing to cut bait with Floyd, I'd imagine his average salary will be pretty close to the 13Mil + that Floyd is due next season. As for CB, I am typically NOT a fan of free agent CBs. CBs get paid a lot in the offseason. Guys like Amukamara (when he signed the first time) and Tracy Porter who don't break the bank are fine, but Byron Jones is going to get a ton of money. Pace hasn't drafted a CB before the last day of the draft, and of those who were college CBs, only Duke Shelley has stayed at CB in the NFL. I'd let Toliver battle with a 2nd round pick and Duke Shelley to see who gets the snaps along with Fuller and Skrine.
  3. This. F the run game. Cover people. The Bears have done pretty well in coverage considering Prince is losing a step, and the pass rush hasn't been consistent. Go after another hybrid S that can play both.
  4. Bears are in the great position where they should get aggressive for a QB, but they can't afford to get aggressive for a QB, because they already got aggressive for a QB.
  5. I can't imagine Floyd is a candidate for an extension. It would basically require 1. Floyd really liking it here, 2. Pace saying he will be cut otherwise and 3. Floyd still really liking it here after that ultimatum. Obviously he hasn't hit his potential as a pass rusher, but in the 7-9M per/year range, he'd probably be a good value. That's my thought as well. He's got 13.2 guaranteed if the Bears keep him. But if he likes it here, he could probably be persuaded to take a 4 year deal worth like 30-35Mil with 18-20Mil in guarantees. Increases his guarantees, but also gives the Bears some needed cap space. The issue here is there's next to nothing on the FA market and a draft pick (which would be in the mid 2nd round area at best, mind you) isn't likely to make teams stop triple teaming Mack. So, they might have to bite the bullet on Floyd and look to trade or get a potential comp pick for him after 2020
  6. Yeah, changes need to be made. As far as I can tell, Helfrich has nothing to do with anything. So I'm thinking he's either the fall guy or they keep him, let him call plays and potentially bring in Mariota to compete with Mitch. QB coach and special teams coach also can probably go away.
  7. How much of it may be due to scheme change? The D has taken a slight step back that could be attributed to going from Fangio to Pagano, but Mack has absolutely disappeared I don't think the scheme has changed all that much. I think Pagano said he was going to keep things the same for the most part. On the surface, things don't look much different from 2018, scheme-wise. I think if anything, the relative struggles this year probably gives Pagano leeway to switch things up a bit, which could serve as a nice little boost for some guys.
  8. What the hell? First of all, one of the INTs was a Hail Mary at the end of the half. Literally meant nothing to the final score. Secondly, the Bears have beaten 2 teams by double digits. One is in play for the #2 pick. There was 0 realistic chance they win that game yesterday by 10 points if they played next to flawlessly. You're probably correct, more a statement of frustration, fumbling, stumbling Bears can't get out of their own way, Mitch misses open receivers, they drop TD passes (Ridley), all the usual [expletive], is aggravating. I don't think it's fair to classify that as a drop for Ridley. That was a crazy play and he may or may not have even been able to get his feet inbounds.
  9. I think you'll really see the schedule affect the Packers next year. Teams that win a bunch of close games and look like they do statistically typically see a big time regression.

  11. Officially eliminated from the playoffs by a combination of the Packers (beating us) and Vikings (getting their 10th win). 12 of last 14 seasons watching the playoffs. Last back to back playoff seasons 2005-06. Sent from my moto e5 supra using Tapatalk
  12. 60 yards to save the season
  13. That's a catch!
  14. Our QB forgot how to throw again.
  15. This was as good a time as any to completely forget how to tackle
  16. Or do the exact opposite, jerks.
  17. Looking similar to Week 1. Packers get one blown play (Call in this game, coverage in the other) and the Bears can't do anything about it. 3rd quarter Bears have to come out in the 2nd half. Get a lead and I think they can tee off on Rodgers. Need a quick stop on D, and a good drive on O out of the gate
  18. The offensive line is holding us back, otherwise I agree I mean, we know what the OL is at this point. They're playing as expected. Mitch missing that wide open throw to Miller by inches, Miller not getting the 2nd foot down. Kwit not coming up with the pick. Terrible call by the refs.
  19. I feel like the Bears are outplaying the Packers. Only score, Packers shouldn't even have and got on a 4th down. The Bears have been close to making a ton of plays, need to make one now and get into the endzone.
  20. Hicks is playing like a monster too.
  21. I can’t see the Bears winning if they punt in their territory. Pinning the Packers deep feels worthless to me. Yeah, you're probably right. Nothing to lose at this point.
  22. Great throw and catch. Terrible call to go for it.
  23. And the punter's an horsefeathers now.
