    I might try to make Serg!o a thing. If he and Wisdom are even sort of real, this offseason becomes much less scary. This would be our lineup going into the offseason: C - Willson 1B - Wisdom 2B - Sergio SS - Hoerner 3B - Bote LF - ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ CF - Happ RF - Heyward Is that good? Horsefeathers no. But with ~$100M to spend this offseason, that's a solid enough base before you open up the checkbook. Especially since Iowa will likely have four real prospects in Davis, Amaya, Strumpf, and Morel. Davis ripping up AA the rest of the year would make me feel a lot better about things.

    Just join a conference already lol They already did, and it turned the schedule into Clemson (who was on the 2020 schedule before COVID), North Carolina and 9 ridiculously boring opponents. The first 2 of those were pretty cool, the rest of it was a slog. lol - join a better conference

    I believe a week or two ago Keith Law very explicitly said that the Cubs like Taylor, so this is starting to sound kind of real. Never trust anyone with two first names.

    Yeah - The walk to Cronenworth was the only real bad PA for him. Otherwise he generated some soft contact for the most part. He's missing command on the fastball so far. He'll be fine if he gets that dialed in.

    Kaplan too. I don't specifically remember Brenly being bad with Aramis (which I'm 1000% sure is my ears not being tuned to those kind of dog whistles yet), but I remember Kaplan regularly saying things that were super yikes about Aramis and Starlin. When Aramis was dealing with some leg injuries, he'd jog to first on routine grounders. Brenly would invariably point it out and his commentary often involved the word "lazy" or other stereotypes. It was pointed out quite a few times that he didn't call out the white players in the same way if they didn't bust it down the line. For those questioning Aramis on why he calls for Brenly to be fired, it is not over this latest incident alone. It is the accumulation of comments over the years.

    Any time you're trying to get in or out of a place at the same time as 60,000 other people, it's going to be a PITA. The only thing that mitigates the issue is mass transit. Which will always be better in the city.
