I wouldn't quite say that. He's a backup. We're probably stuck with him, at the very least as a nickle. Or whatever we can replace with on a minimum deal. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/years/2021/defense_advanced.htm QB's had a 147 rating when targeting him coming into the game. I'm pretty sure that's gotten worse today.

The goal should be to get them to play well enough that the next GM can sell off every old, expensive vet and get something of value back. Time to clean house. The only goal has to be getting rid of Seth Jones. He’s absolute trash and will kill this team for 5+ years If by 5+ you mean NINE, then yes.

I thought Borom looked great under the circumstances. Only three practices since camp, rookie, going against Bosa? That's a tough road right there. Overall, I thought he played really well. That mattered, too. :D

Brown seems like a good hire. Each of these guys seem like good gets. I think Hawkins is the one that's least interesting to me of the three, but that is probably my own biases at play.

You guys (the ones minimizing the best Fields game of the year) are the ones who even mentioned Trubisky. Nobody is acting like Fields doesn't have flaws. You are arguing against nobody. We also aren't going to do the thing where we act like Fields playing a good game is bad. He played very well today. Maybe the best game of any rookie in this class has played this year (read this on Twitter, haven't seen Daniel Jones much). It doesn't mean there's no looking back and he will continue to linearly get better each game......which is absolutely fine because literally NOBODY is saying that. I couldnt watch today but Mac Jones has looked really good in a couple of games I’ve watched. I have a hard time believing that Fields has a better game based on the stat line but again I didn’t watch so Are you including the 107 rushing yards?

My eyes always glaze over when reading about the intensely administrative parts of the offseason, but I think we have to get down to 40 shortly after the World Series, and have to add any Type 5 picks by early December. I see a few pending FAs on the current 40 man (which I think explains Lobaton?), so I think we're at 43 once the offseason officially begins. I'd think you need to get down to ~35 for Rule 5 purposes by 12/1, which would mean you could keep 4 of Bryan's 12. You could also maybe sneak a few guys through waivers, and really keep 6-7, but those "extra" guys are obviously not guaranteed and probably guys without options (and likely position players). Are all the players off the covid list yet? I know we were over 50 guys on the 40 man roster at the end of the year.

No, it was overthrown. Gotcha. I was wondering if Robinson gave up on another route. Fields made the right decision - ARob was wide open there. But I guess he just sailed the pass.
