  1. ha! I've been telling TT for years that Teheran sucks. :D
  2. Holy cow...I think he's ready.
  3. I'm a big man. I can admit I was wrong about paying up for Hamels.
  4. Nobody with any love for Robel Garcia in their top 10's?
  5. Yeah, the ball landed in San Francisco Bay, not the ocean. Doesn't Muncy know anything? Jeeze. Current state: Ball in bay, completely out of sight Comment: Go get the ball and bring it back in sight and I'll stop looking at it. Nonsense.
  6. What he said made no logical sense, though.
  7. Don't live in doubt. Just run with it.
  8. Gotta figure that's it for Hendricks. Yet another awesome game.
  9. Once he catches the ball, he can do anything he wants. It doesn't matter if ARod doesn't know the rules.
  10. Always worth sharing this link: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/u/1/d/1R9hzhGo0Q_29g2bfa2yQwHYqNN799JzkCP7HyK-XCKY/htmlview#
  11. LHP Brendon Little was considered a power pitcher in his draft year... I lump him in my my draft evaluation of Pearson and as a result don't really think of him that way.
  12. At least it sounds like a power arm this time Maybe they think they can teach him to spin it better with their pitching lab
  13. Well, horsefeathers. Absolutely one of my favorites when I was a kid.
  14. It might be time to start talking about what Vimael Machin is doing at Tennessee. As a 25 year old, he's definitely overage. He's progressed through the minors with strong plate discipline, good contact and no power. He had half a season at AA last year and did...okay. But this year, he's walking nearly twice as often as he's striking out (13.8% / 7.7%). Even though he only has one home run, he does have a .161 IsoP, so he's got some doubles power. He's got an unsustainable .396 babip, but he's carrying a .366/.454/.527 line through 130 pa. While he's listed as a 1B/2B, he's started seven games at SS this year and only one at 1B. It's probably nothing. But he's been making an awful lot of solid contact so far this year to go along with a solid walk rate. It's worth noting, anyway. He's definitely been the best performer so far this year even though he's not really a prospect.
  15. Given the circumstances he came through today, he went in to the game knowing he was going 6-7+ and 100+ pitches in horsefeathers conditions. He gave us a chance and we won. The offense won the game. if they didnt bail him out, nobody would care that he "saved the pen" the other 24 guys in the clubhouse seemed genuinely appreciative
  16. I'm going on a limb here and assuming I'm saying this for everyone... Can you please stop with the "believing in himself" schtick? It's wearing thin.
