  1. It's a deep draft for what the Bears need (DE, LB, S). JMO.
  2. Really like what the Bears did today. They have more info on Braxton than anyone. Can go bpa for basically all of their draft picks. 2 DL, 1 LB, 1 DB, 1 OL, 1 WR 1 Whatever in the draft.
  3. I like all the lower cost/short term hole plugging they're doing. I think this draft lines up with their needs pretty well, too. Still interested to see how they address LT, though.
  4. Lions LT Taylor Decker has requested a release. He knows Benjo well.......
  5. Second round pick is pretty good.
  6. I hope I'm wrong, glad they were able to get right a bit against a bad team. Even if Andrej intends on moving on after the season it will behoove him (and anyone else) to play as well as possible for the rest of the season. Hopefully take care of Maryland and secure a 2 seed.
  7. I so want him to get over the hump. While many coaches complained about NIL and the portal, he just went harder and searched further for good players. No complaining, always working to improve the roster. He's re-established the program after it fell apart under Weber and Groce. Making the second weekend of the tourney this year will feel like a massive win considering how we're looking right now.
  8. It hurts to say but this Illinois team is cooked. Tomi can't move, shoot or defend and I think Andrej is checked out because Wagler supplanted him as "the guy" and he's already looking for his next team. Depth is already a problem and we're leaking oil. I think it'll be over for us quickly in March. This team is dead.
  9. For sundays, the earlier is always better.
  10. Didn't know her name until yesterday but my goodness Alysa Liu. True blue American hero stuff.
  11. I can't believe the 76ers got a first-round pick for Jared McCain while the Bulls couldn't with Coby White or Alex Caruso.
  12. Coby got traded to Charlotte for Collin Sexton. They're both UFA so I don't get it. I was on board with the Huerter and Vuc trades but this one doesn't make sense to me.
  13. I think this is just a buy low opportunity on Ivey, so I like it. Huerter is a FA and neither he nor Saric figured to be a part of anything moving forward for the Bulls. Conley probably just a throw in to make the money work. Don't stop now AKME!
  14. Doesn't sound like the Bulls are getting good offers for Coby. I thought for sure one the teams out west that has lots of picks and needs a guard (San Antonio, Houston, Minny) would make a deal for him. Hopefully something shakes lose this week.
  15. So that's why Ricketty invited him back into the Cubs fold.
  16. I agree with the pro-Rome talk earlier in this thread. He had a good start to the season and I'm still not over the Bears trying to bring him back from a foot injury on a 5-degree day. I give him props for working to get back on the field after getting what I think is bad direction from the training staff.
  17. I know Walton won ROY in 1989 but I always loved Dwight Smith too. Both flash in the pans unfortunately.
  18. Seeing a lot of mocks with Kayden McDonald - DT - Ohio State going to the Bears in the first round. I'll take it. Really sucks that Ozzy got hurt, having to address LT is such a pain.
  19. Nice job Jed. Go get a real bat and this team could be very good.
  20. I disagree that they're unwatchable. While they might be turnstiles on defense they at least get up and down the court. Hopefully Ayo gets to be the primary ballhandler more now with Coby and Giddey out. He can really zoom past the defense in transition with the ball in his hands.
  21. It's so nice to see everyone laughing at the SEC and labeling them frauds. Two years in a row Bret Beilema has ensured I have a very happy New Year. GO ILLINI
  22. Lions have nothing to play for but pride and revenge against Benjo. Don't like that dynamic.
  23. Giddey and Coby both left the game last night. I'm starting to wonder what the right move with Coby is. He's a good player who fits the system, but he also is now having problems with both calves and still turns the ball over too much IMO. Do we want to give him 5/$150 and hope he stays healthy and gets better, or trade him now? Unfortunately AKME has not shown to be a very proactive front office so they're probably just going to let him walk in the offseason for nothing and I'll continue to bash my head against the wall caring about this team that is run by people who are paid not to care.
  24. The Bears have an awesome (young) coach and awesome (young) quarterback. I keep pinching myself but it's simply the truth.
  25. I think Okoro coming back has really helped them and a big reason why they've started winning again. On a team of mostly turnstiles, he's clearly our best defensive player. I thought it was dumb to give Lonzo another contract but very nice how they flipped him for Okoro. I still think there's so much roster/contract flexibility here. In addition, their flaws are so clearly evident even a basketball novice could see them.
