Same here. People got really excited because Redick had some decent play but I'd definitely rather have Brewer. It's just so weird to have 3 free agents from the same team end up with the same team. While pretty much true, remember that Brewer was traded to Memphis last season.

Who do the Dodgers have in their system now that would be a a player we could conceivably swindle from Colletti? Adding payroll may be an issue for them this time around. -
I know I posted this a couple weeks ago, but it was when pages were being added every half hour. As such, I will offer again now that this thread has slowed. I re-upped my season tickets (2 in the 300 level, corner), if anyone would like a share (be it 5, 10, 15, 20, etc) of the games please let me know. All games would be sold at face ($35 per ticket), and we would conduct a ticket draft. You would also have postseason rights in the same percentage of games as you buy for regular/preseason. Yes. Dusty, as a Cub in 2003 managed after winning the 2002 pennant in San Fran. Yeah but Dusty was on a team in the same league. What if Dusty was unemployed for the 2003 season is what I'm saying? Bob Lemon did that after the Yankees fired him around 79/80.

You want to burn your only bench spot on a runner for a non-tying run? Its not like his being slow would have prevented any potential runners behind him from scoring to tie. That Ortiz got stuck between bases was a fluke. If you want to complain about not using Arod in the 9th, the situation would have been for Kinsler.

Hopefully this is true. What if the alternative is Sandberg? Death. Short bench or not, should've pinch ran for Ortiz. With a pitcher or Arod?

You know some pretty smart 12 year olds who are talking about ISoP I can distinctly remember sitting in my attic with cards laid out and and subtracting AVG from SLG. The best of these would be my "Sluggers" when arranging my cards into batting orders. I had no idea it had a name, it just seemed like something worth doing. I'd also subtract AVG from OBP to "see who walked alot" amongst those with decent averages. EDIT: This may have been later. Thinking back, I imagine lots of kids did very similar things.
