  1. The guy with the baby was trying WAY too hard to get that. His wife is gonna have his ass tonight.
  2. Tyler Walker is on the DL, so it couldnt have been him.

  4. Of course they'll retire 42 -- it's already been done by MLB (Jackie Robinson). I have a question, How come Mariano Rivera wears #42? Was he "grandfathered in" because he already had the number? Exactly.
  5. Make that five. ESPN.com is reporting they just picked up Kyle Loshe from Minnesota. Not doubting you, I just cant fing the link. Where on espn.com is it?
  6. Of course they'll retire 42 -- it's already been done by MLB (Jackie Robinson). I was just wondering because the Cubs aren't as free and easy with retiring numbers as some other teams are. I would bet no.
  7. If they put a specific kind of "latino sausage" in there just to appease latino fans who wanted/were complaining about some sort of sausage representation, then yes, that would be stupid and I would call it "politically correct pandering." However, allow me to add that I think the idea is hillarious. I mean, have you seen the thing? It's awesome. And Chorizo's ridiculous sombrero is anything but politically correct. it's symbolic. while we have no problem with old, european-immigrant, white sausages, we have a problem with a new, central american-immigrant, dark sausage. it's okay though, because we put a sombrero on the sausage and watch it runs around like a crazy sausage and it humors us. as long as the sausage is a benign stereotype-sausage coceived of by white people, we find it funny and harmless. just don't suggest that mexican sausages are infiltrating the psuedo-sausage culture of old, white america. because, in the end, it's all about preserving our white sausage culture. sorry chorizo, you're a sausage too late, you should have been here 100 years ago, then you'd have been welcomed into our sausage culture--------perhaps. I just don't like the way they taste. But I suppose that makes me an evil American bigot.
  8. You mean "Did Someone say 'Go Brewers'?" ?

  10. Oh, you mean my Bachelor party? See you there? Bleachers. Congrats, dude. Are you scared? Thanks. Not scared, we've been together forever, since the end of high school. Went to college together. Already live together. I figure if I'm gonna be around her all the time, might as well brand her (Last name, ring) lol.
  11. I respectfully disagree. 3 run home run for instance. Best outcome that could reasonably be expected? You absolutely correct.
  12. Solid? Solid? If he lowered his walk total, he'd have one of the best pitching performances in baseball history. Yes, the walks are not great-but he still no-hit them-if that's solid, then no pitcher is ever going to really reach great. You need a drink. Or maybe one less drink.
  13. NEVAH! After 100, the pitchometer rolls over to zero, much like in a car. So Prior should be fine.
  14. Me too. The structure of the title is odd. Thirded.
  15. He also fields pretty well.
  16. That was amusing.
  17. He's about the only person worth watching on this ballclub My friend says they should rename the team The Chicago Zambranos. The logo would be a slashed zorro-style "Z" that would slash apart a cute stuffed cubby bear, which would then burst into flames. Animated logo? Or is all this happening in one shot?
  18. Should be Maddux, after the normal 4 rest days. That's what I had originally thought, but the Cubs site has him slated for Sunday. Cubs site lists Maddux as the probable for Saturday, TBA for Friday and Sunday. It does, doesn't it? I completely read that wrong. Must've been wishful thinking. Well, at least I'll have more opportunities to catch a home run ball. Think Maddux still has a lot of pop in his bat?
  19. Oh, you mean my Bachelor party? See you there? Bleachers.
  20. For those interested, I suck at life. Getting the big 0-fer.
  21. How do you score from 2nd on a sac fly? Soriano stole 3rd. Then he scored on the sac fly. I think that wasa joke regarding Neifi's play awhile back.
