  1. BTW, on the LaHair legit or not front. Even with babip adjusted using LD, FB, GB, etc percentages, LaHair's expected line after that homer is .274/.371/.700
  2. After that homer, using xBABIP I have his xAVG/xOBP/xSLG line at: .281/.347/.407
  3. So his bad rates are sustainable, but his good rates aren't? The drop off from his good rates coming down to earth will far outweigh the gain he gets when his K rate comes down too.
  4. LOL he is on pace to put up an 8.46 WAR if he plays like this and doesn't miss another game. Not happening.
  5. Did the "baseball gods" walk Nix? coming into the game he'd walked 4 hitters and he has a whip of 1.27 and era over 6. he's getting f'd in the a. And so is Ian Stewart! Or maybe they just aren't good. If it's one year it's fine but this is a trend. Learn how to understand statistics.
  6. Give me another 2 homer game, Anthony.
  7. Lol, it really "pisses you off?" OK, that is a little strong. I just don't get why people like the cycle so much. Meatheads. 4 HR game is way cooler.
  8. Lol, it really "pisses you off?"
  9. Pedro Mart.....nope...Mike Mus...Nope (Damn you Carl Everett!)...Andres Galla-DAMMIT.... I had no idea Andres Galarraga became a pitcher, probably because he didn't. Armando Galarraga though, that was really too bad.
  10. I think it depends on how Hultzen/Walker/Paxton develop as well as their bats...Ackley and Smoak can be big time players as well. There's the outside shot, but I think they trade him to supplement their new nucleus (if those guys work out). Another young ace to really look forward to...David Price...unless a miracle happens there's little to no chance he stays in Tampa forever. He'll be a FA the same year as Porcello and Upton, after 2015. Like with Upton, they'll trade him. If you don't like Porcello ignore the name drop there for now...but big things a'comin with that guy. LOL I'll pass on a guy who strikes out less than 5 per 9 (4.8). He was barely over 5 per 9 (5.4) in the minors too, so it's not a fluke. Porcello will never be an elite pitcher. I realize how young he is, but I just don't believe in him, I don't think he's going to be that great. I could be wrong though, who knows.
  11. That would somewhat satisfy me.
  12. What just happened is a disgrace, the NHL should seriously be ashamed of what just happened. He should be done for the rest of the year and tack on the beginning of next year. That's dirty, pathetic, and just seriously shameful. That kind of play does not belong in sports, I'm sorry, but I am furious.
  13. His dad is their announcer, his opinion is not objective.
  14. Must've missed it. What'd he do? Samardzija getting interviewed, Garza was off camera throwing handfuls of sunflower seeds on Samardzija 3 or 4 times.
  15. He's looking great. Man, our rotation might be really good.
  16. What a douche bringing up 03 to Karros. Eric saying please don't, but no, Thom insists.
  17. Stewart has legit power, I actually think he's going to end up being a really solid player. .800+ OPS, 25+ homers, solid D.
  18. Boo, my girl friend is at work til 3:30, I was hoping to get to watch the entire game without distractions. Start the damn thing already.
  19. I doubt he is legit, but to be fair, he has been hurt to begin the season so that could be impacting his ABs leading to more Ks. Also, for what it's worth, during Micah's two big AAA years before he came up he walked 7% of the time and then 5.4% of the time, while LaHair's two big AAA years he walked 10.7% of the time and 11.5% of the time. He also K'd more, but that's a product of patience. My point is that LaHair has been proven to be a more patient hitter than Hoff was. I still don't think there's much of a chance we have Carlos Pena 2 on our hands, but I think he's a bit better than the Jake Fox/Micah Hoffpauir's of the world, not that being that is much to say, but still.
  20. We might actually be pretty good when Rizzo and Jackson join the team.
  21. So we have a positive run differential. Are we not that bad or is it a fluke?
