  1. Are you recommending we bench him? Because his K rates are right around where it usually is?
  2. Please don't stop It's lonely at the top These lonely days Will they ever stop? First place is awesome. Let's keep doing it.
  3. Meh, he's been coming back down to earth. He had a .858 OPS the last time we played them (July 1st) and now he's down to .781 coming into today. His 20 HRs are still way above his career high at any level (13), but he's not hitting them like he was earlier in the year. He's nothing but average at this point.
  4. Reyes is a joke. Make this one a laugher. (woo puns, i should send that to bob and len)
  5. Me too. I really like the "Unfinished Business" one with Hester.
  6. He should. The fans have been absolutely terrible to the guy, which I'll never understand. Yeah he got off to a rough start with us, but he wasn't brought in to be a savior and his contract isn't overly ridiculous. I'll never understand the complete Neifi-like hate for him. Oh well, I've loved him since day one. /man crush
  7. same reason some ppl here like murton. oops, did I say that? Murton's a middle infielder?
  8. Sweep the Cards, end their season, take over first. Thanks.
  9. Has anyone read Wrigley Blues: The Year the Cubs Played Hardball with the Curse (But Lost Anyway)? It was a "recommending reading" from Amazon in the e-mail I got today, and I thought about checking it out.
  10. Not really surprising. No matter what anyone says, we're not a real good team. Take 2 top run producers out of any lineup and most teams won't be real good. they weren't real good with those guys. yeah, 18 games over .500 in a 35 game span (or something similar to that) isn't good.
  11. Wait by the players parking lot after the game. They always sign afterwards. I think you have a better chance of getting them to sign then while they are on their way to the stadium before the game. And like vance said, during BP is always good too.
  12. my debit card is hooked up through paypal and it works out fine. Mine too. I signed up for Premium a few weeks ago with it.
  13. First Bob Sanders, now you? I mean, I don't blame you guys. I heart the Bears. No, it's not like I'm abandoning my previous team when they became incompetent jailbirds. I've just never been heavy into one team, and after thinking about it, why would I be a Bucs fan? And besides, I could always take up the Rams or the Chiefs, they're local now. BOOOOOOO. That's all.
  14. I'm always looking for an intelligent Bears board, so count me in. As for basketball, I'd probably come around every now and then, but I wouldn't be very active there.
  15. I know this is old, but I didn't vote when it was created. I voted he should start going into close games now. I think Dempster needs to take over Eyre's mop up role for awhile. He's been complete garbage since he's come off the DL (at least it seems that way, I didn't look up actual numbers).
  16. We do have Manning, AA, Brown, McGowan, and Payne, along with a few other rooks. If they were that quick to trade Harris away, Manning/McGowan/Payne must be impressing somewhat.
  17. Man oh man, I'm so excited for the season.
  18. I do not doubt for an instance that Mizzou could lose in Manhattan, but for the North title? Yeah, that's a brave assumption. Nebraska says hi.
