    murton wasnt a late scratch today. He wasnt in the lineup at all today, "supposedly" he will start tomorrow Okay, you're right, but still, I thought Murton was "supposed" to start today. And I'm surprised a lot of you guys are giving Hendry that much credit. If he acquired Payton, I would not be surprised at all if it were Payton + Cash for Murton.

    I know this doesn't mean anything, but Payton is out of the lineup today. It'd better not be Murton for Payton, since Murton was a late scratch again I guess? However, I just looked up the numbers, and Payton is 1-6 career vs. Wang while Gibbons is 6-18. HOPEFULLY, that's the only reason Payton is out.

    Well, if we can get him for a low prospect, and it means the end of Eyre, I'm all for it. He's put up good numbers this year. Here are his splits: vs. Righties: .230/.367/.378/.745 7 R 17 H 17 K/16 BB 1 HR vs. Lefties: .213/.269/.361/.630 10 R 13 H 15 K/4 BB 2 HR If he replaces Eyre and his .947/.983 OPS allowed vs. lefties/righties respectably, he's a significant upgrade. Like I said, a low level prospect and I'm all for it. Plus, he was picked up this year by club option for only $1.2M, that leaves (if my math is correct), just around 400K left on his contract this year, and he's an FA after the year is over. Not too bad of a deal.
